I guess we all know this would /could be the case and the way that MM set it up and that's why most of us didn't take up the offer, so no matter what they are worth maybe the plan has always been to sell to the house ie MM at a quarter of what they are worth.

Yes good up-date as expected. Many of us are still here watching and waiting and collecting the Divi.

So if the deal does go through I guess we can expect the SP to go up a bit but what happens to the money being paid to itv, will it be used to give us a special divi of 25p a share or what. Knowing itv it will just keep it and then pay an extra 2p in total divi making 7p for the year.

Yes at long last something to talk about.

I can understand no one willing to put a bid in for THG before as although it all looked ok the risk was too big to make it worth it.

But now it seems we have turned the corner and long term business looks like really paying off for anyone looking to buy THG at these really low prices.

So now I would say is the time for those bids to come in at 60p-80p + before we hit the £1.50's, and if MM was clever he would try to buy the lot now at 80p+ before he loses it to say Nestle etc.

I don't really care about the buys, I really care about it being a sell at 75p !!!!

OK so it looks like we will be involved by /in taking over this loss making company, but they didn't make any profits so went bust so why is this a good move for us because we can now also be losing money.

Or can we not, and will it do anything for the SP.????

Davffed, I have been watching / reading most of your posts and nearly all are always going on about what you think others are doing selling out / query their buys etc. but we never here if YOU actually hold these shares or if you ever buy.If you are not a trader / investor you shouldn't be on here.

Davffed, once again you don't know what you are talking about. I haven't sold out at all in fact I have been buying more over the last few weeks with another buy on Friday.

So you facts are wrong again.

This VAT refund talk has now been going on for what about a year and seems never ending, will it fall in our favour and will we ever get any refund.

If the company is so convinced we shouldn't be charging vat like our competitors then let's just stop charging vat on our goods for the coming year, and if it goes against us we can pay it later. Why should we be charging vat when our competitors are not.

Now with overhead costs, if we have already cut our workforce by hundreds we must be cutting /saving our total overhead costs, so why haven't we made great profit increases for the year against last years numbers. Still too many questions .

Would / should at least be back to 50p after this confirms the out look made back a few months ago.

It's good that MM didn't put his foot in it again, but I thought the city would have pushed this up more, maybe 35p-36p by day end.

So just why is this a bargain and undervalued?????

Many would say it's still over priced as it's losing sales /market share /profits, sorry it doesn't make a profit just bigger and bigger losses. No one wants this stock and soon will be raising more money if it doesn't go bust again for what the 6 th time.

I think perhaps you have miss read things.

But the results are now out and the closed period is now open, so any / all directors etc can now buy shares at this very cheap price.

Is that why they brought the results out now, so they can now buy before any bid offer comes in.?????

Yes the results look much better turning into a profit of £8m against a loss last and all looks to play for, but will the city look on these positive.

We hit 50p+ a few months back on first sight of these pre results, so we should be 50p+ again but who knows.!!!!

Against APN we should be £1.50+ and a sitting duck for a buy out at the current SP , so just when will someone have the bottle to bid. ???????

Yes if there was a statement to be made now it's, THG is a sitting duck just waiting to be taken out by someone that knows what they are doing. the market is there, the profit is there to be taken once the right moves are made.

Someone just offer £1 and you have a company with great prospects. Can't see why APN doesn't make a move now.

Yes great set of results, in the same sector with same or higher product costs and yet 50% + increase is sales / profit etc.

It's all down to the leader and his team, who think they are making better moves than anyone else but living in make believe land. But it does go to show what could be done and made if we ever get the correct people.

It looks like stroll has tried his best and it hasn't worked yet and with the overall picture looking grim the company is now in a worse position than it was 1-2 years ago. Lower sales lower profits and bigger / higher debts, so is AML even worth 40p right now, it could even be insolvent who knows.

If it's MM plan to buy this out and take it private surely he needs to do this with a good price bid before he issues the results,

because if the results and longer term prospects are better the SP will rise to what 60p+ after the results.

I don't think there is anything in the rules to stop a takeover bid /offer while a company is in the closed period, is there?

Not sure it really matters what MM 's plan is. if it's to buy this out and go private he will need to pay minimum 60p-80p to get away with it on the cheap,

but if his big purchase is just based on what's coming next with very good results and better prospects going forward , then the SP will be going up to 80p ish anyway.

So like many others I have just topped up again because at this price surely we can lose. can we ?
