I hope a number of you that might have sold didn't do it because of all the clap chat on here on the hope that you can always buy back in cheaper. We have all tried this and often it doesn't go down any more and then moves up after you have sold at a loss and then you have to buy back in at an even higher price. From someone that has done all this over 40 years just do what you want to do and not what others keep saying you should do. Dam now I have said it. There so many on these post boards that just love to spread fear and love to see others losing money.

Good grief here we go again all these negative points just because the sp has gone down, it's the stock market and it does this and there is NO G/Tee that you will make money and if it was that easy everyone would be doing it.
If you have been in shares for what 10-20-30 years we all know it does this and if you can't take the heat get out or just suck it up. You wanted to gamble and no matter what research you do we all lose money at times, just relax and turn off for a few weeks / months there are more important things to worry about. It will come back !!!!!

Maybe just maybe the sp will never recover to £4, after all following the consolidation the city might think £3.50 ish is where the sp should be. You can buy BP for £3 and that must be a better valued stock. ?

To the US must be effecting the sp more than we think, it's a very important sector and where the engines get lots of air miles added and so they need more maintenance ie more income. One we get that going all will be better.I hope.

So let's be honest the sp caught us all out no one thought this was going so low , but very soon it will turn and go back up to £1.00- £1.10 when we least expect it. No one knows why this has happened as it looks like more buys than sells for the last few days. Do we now buy more ?

Again talk about West Med, but as I recall Foo wrote off the assets of West Med to NIL about 5 -8 years ago but it still costs about £1m a year to hold / run so that's about £5m costs so far.
If it ever gets sold what will the price be, infact has anyone in the last year or so given a real value to West Med, just what is it worth £1m - £5m or do we just sell it for a £1 and save the running costs.

Even vog's own brokers will not put a price target out there .

OK so Roy has been clearing up things,but where do they go now to make profits.
They still only have about 30 + customers and don't sell anywhere near enough gas to breakeven, they don't have any cash to drill more holes which they don't really need without more customers, they want to develope new fields but cannot without farm in partners to supply the cash. They cannot sell West Med and keep putting on a brave face saying someone will buy it but just how many customers are out there after 10 years of trying. Still have about $7m debt, banks will not lend them any more money so another placing very soon to raise more money at what 2p-3p to keep going and current directors will not buy their own shares. Says a lot doesn't it.!!!!!!!

So after all these years not much has changed, Untill Dec they had $12.7m debt and after the eneo payment in June this still leaves what $7.5m debt. Still loss making business and running short of cash and a number of mentions about keeping control of money and only spending what they need to to get through. West Med is never going to get sold and if someone still wants it after 10 years of trying to sell it they will probably get it for £1 to get rid of the overheads to vog.
Doesn't look like a profitable business to invest in now does it.

Yes it all looks very interesting and I believe they have been testing some sort of engines for months now. Just waiting for them to announve they have cracket it and then then the orders should come flooding in and the sp will really rocket to £1.50 - £2.00

Like many on here won't be happy until we get back up to £ 1.10 ish.

So what's the betting now that the government could block this takeover offer and the sp fall back to £1.60 ish ?

On this rns I cannot see how the BOD's just say they are worth more than £2 bid offer, should have taken the offer.

Should hear something very soon now , it's been a few weeks for the buyers to put their prices in. £1.2bn would be OK.

Goodness all the de-rampers are out today, If you really think we are heading to 40p then put your shorts in now and let us know, because I think we would be having the last laugh when it turns and heads back to £1.10.
Just wishful thinking so you can buy back in but just say that and most would probably agree with you.

That with all the takeover interest in british companies from America etc the one company that now stands out as a sitting duck is RR, with big american engineering companies within the planes/ flying industry someone hasn't already made a cheap takeover offer for RR when the true value must be somewhere around the £2-£4 as it now stands.
But then maybe someone is already interested and they are working on the numbers before it does go up to £2.-£4.

Now all this talk of more cases of covid and even some say 100,000 a day, but most of us have now been jabbed and the under 18's don't get very ill with it so who cares about the numbers it could be 1m a day .
We all know the city will use any reason they can to drop the market and make money and the press/ tv just love to make fear.
Let's just get on with things and RR will come back in a few weeks.

I agree with you when you think what this stock was a few years back, ok they lost their way a little / lot but it just goes to show how much it has to come back .
When you also think what Morrison's has been offered I would have put Marks up as a better bet for a takeover before Morrison's but that's the market. Think we should be at least £1.70 - £2.30 now.
