Come on we all know that when a company starts to mess around with their sharesin a restructure downwards it means they could be reducing the share value so they can raise more in a rights issue, and so far marks haven't raised cash to reduce their debts that I can see.
Companies don't restructure their share for nothing and the city might have another view. can we expect a rights or placing ?

It's shame though, I would have loved £7-£10 but it does give a boost to the post board when things are slow and it brightons up the day just a little.

You might be right in 2050 but unfortunately we are living 2021 and they didn't reach that in the last few years so most would be happy with £1.50 -£2.50 in the next year.

It's simple, if you think someone is going to offer more than £9.5bn , Buy shares first thing at £ 2.60 ish .!!

If Morrison's didn't have all this debt of £3bn + then I guess an offer of £2.70 ish might have been on the cards but this offer must be equiv to what £3.70, so I still don't think there will be any more / better bids and I think MRW are lucky to get one this high with all the debt.

Under the GBP6.3 billion deal, the group of investors comprising Softbank Group Corp-owned Fortress, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Koch Real Estate Investments will pay 252 pence per share plus a 2p special dividend. The stock closed at 239.80p on Friday in London.

According to the announcement, the deal also includes GBP3.2 billion in debt, which makes the total operation worth GBP9.5 billion with debt recovery.Â

I can now see this going to £1.10 this week if not more.

If you are share holders you should be happy, this is the highest the sp has been for 3-4 years and I know thatr if we hold shares in any company that's being bid for we want more but I thinbk it's a done deal now and the bod's have agreed to it, so that must mean they will keep their jobs with this deal and wouldn't want to risk any other deal even if it's another few pence but could lose their jobs. Move on.

Why do many posters keep saying there will be a higher bid, there will not it's an agreed bid and a done deal. Just because you say it's under valued doesn't mean someone else will come and bid more, remember it's been trading at around the £1.50 mark for ages and that's what you have to compare the bid to. The board have agreed it so move on.

Look we have all done it, I took a punt on GNC at £1.47 and lost £2k on paper within a week but I haven't sold yet and it will come . Also although some prices keep going down don't put all your money in 1 share to ave down so try to spread it around 2--3-4 stocks .it never pays. best of luck.

But at the same time I am making sure I am still holding a volume incase I get caught out.

I have bought and sold about 6-8 times since Nov and just bought more at £1.03 and again at 97p, so mine are not for sale again yet ,

Some would say there are more new gullable share holders/ investors than there are fish in the see.
And until they have been caught once / twice many companies will continue to take their money whenever they can without the directors putting their hands into their own pockets.

VS buy and sell.
OK many are saying it's a great time to buy and hold it's a dead cert etc etc.
Let's just look at a simple move , if you had bought say 10,000 shares in Nov 20 at £1 = £10.k after about 7 months you would still have about £10k, but the share price has gone up and down what about 6 times from £1 to £1.30 down and up to £1.20 down and up to £1.12 etc and you sold on the highs and bought back in on the lows of £1 you would now have approx £18k and that's only buying 10,000. RR could carry on like this for another 6 months before it settles or starts to move up to £1.50. And that's why sometimes you have to play the game rather than just sitting and holding. But life's a gamble.

Hasn't RR already announced that they have been running tests on BIO, they must be going very well if they now intend to move to large production of BIO with a major Petrol company. All looking good for a world beating engine that everyone will want to fly their planes.
