Agreed tutter it's sometimes difficult to follow what we hold nowadays. Looking back at the previous RNS's the investments page on their website does seem to be updated and correct.

Remember the switch to nasal swab as well as saliva?? There were quite clearly issues with progress on the saliva front which slowed/halted that clinical validation you specified in the 7th Aug RNS.
It's only been a month since we were told about the swab test so we wouldn't have expected an update on clinical validation of that test.

I think Crocqman hit the nail on the head. Why would you be drawing attention to something that is currently getting a lot of bad press about its suitability and reliability? Other things to talk about at the moment and distract from the cr*p Innova tests (Brexit and Vaccine) to tide them over until they have a suitable test to roll out with a fanfare!

Schools are going to need mass testing for a long time given the kids are the super spreaders, they will be last to be vaccinated and govt won't shut schools.....

Hindsight’s a wonderful thing eh! I’m just glad Avct took the opportunity to switch to swab and didn’t stick to only saliva for the “unique” opportunity, a switch which I can only think was driven by difficulties in saliva that the govt weren’t happy with, (hence Cytiva silence and BBI step up)

Lazy punter - I cannot stress enough here that as a business with many potential avenues, under the same brand Avacta, what goes to market needs to be of the standard Avacta will hold all their products to. When you say others have already brought things to market - yes they have but they are cr*p, look at the stick Innova are getting now!
Affimers will have so many use cases across the medical industry. To hurry a cr*p LFT would tarnish the reputation of IP that is not solely for COViD application, it is one of so many, as we saw in the recent licensing RNS.
I would argue the exact opposite to your point. If we had been Innova at this point, the company wouldn’t be able to achieve its full potential as nobody would want to license any more affimers, enter further collaborations or parter with us!

Enteleon - pleasure.....it’s what I come on this bb for, to give my opinion and listen to others. It was nice on a fairly quiet day to get chance to put some serious thoughts down on paper and hopefully they have helped. It’s often hard to do that as it just gets wiped out by so much noise that this bb usually generates.
I’m certainly open to alternative views and by no means ramp this share. I just think AS comes under unjustified criticism at time and with COViD we have 2 very different shareholder types, so I want to educate on what this business really has up its sleeve.
Sadly, looks like the deramp crew are sneaking back in but my posts are there should anyone want to see my view - of course all is my opinion!

AS sold 1/3 of his ordinary shareholding circa 250k shares. He still owns 400k shares and has nearly 6MILLION options! All of which are linked to SP and commercial milestones being met. It was a complete non event. It has just been jumped on by the trolls here to fearmonger.
Only RNS of significance in weeks?? I’d take a look at the RNSs on 21st and 23rd Dec. AVA600 filing - a huge milestone delivered on time. Also the licensing agreement went way under the radar because the value and anticipation is wrongly being attributed to the LFT RNS only. We have an agreement now for someone to use our Affimer IP - in the non COViD space, and receive royalties from all related sales. Money for nothing.....this is much larger than many give credit for.

Could pick holes in so much of what you have written there....and I strongly disagree with a lot of what you have written. Funny that the bloody house got brought up - I bet a lot of CEOs sold shares for more ridiculous things but they just don’t disclose. DonaldsWig - spot on. There will be a large number of people for a good while yet who aren't vaccinated be that because they can't be / they don't want to be / haven't got round to them yet. The you have the fact that vaccination numbers in other countries will differ hugely and there is currently zero evidence vaccinated people are not contagious.
So.....airports/travel will be a testing hotbed I imagine. Two scenarios:
1. You surely can't stop people who haven't been vaccinated travelling.
2. Even those who have been vaccinated, you will want to be sure they aren't carrying the virus into the country they are travelling to who may be way behind that vaccination curve.
SO even vaccinated people will need to be tested I feel at airports, but the 48hr PCR test wont suit the travel industry long term. A reliable, rapid test is needed for that area - who may have one?
