I'll tell you one thing Junior - Once their current supply runs out, Innova aint getting another look in, reputation....shot. Yes they've made some good money over the last few months but its over for them as soon as a reliable/quality test comes to market. I hope this is AVCT or they are involved (I believe that will be the case hence heavily invested here) but now we know Covid is going nowhere and testing is clearly a focus around the world (there is more than just the UK!) there is far more to be made going forward than the "lost" revenue to date.
I have said it before but AVCT is not LFT's, AVCT is Affimers and a shoddy LFT would be catastrophic for the IP given all non Covid avenues that are open. This is a huge potential advert for the Affimer IP - so it has to be top top quality.

I might take it upon myself to develop an addition to Google translate for translating "Political" to "Lehmans"....it would go something like this:

Most of our R&D paid for by the big pharma partnerships, some "small ish" up front payments from licensing deals, £30-40m in bank from placing and a revenue share from whatever Adeptrix have sold of BAMS for research purposes. Not a bad position to be in for a small biotech co really in early stages of their product developments.....could quite easily be up to our eyeballs in debt, I would say fundamental financials are pretty strong.

With some of the II's invested here who will have done plenty of DD and the reputation of the pharmas we have partnerships with, which have been extended this year, I don't think AS is an idiot or AVCT a lifestyle company.
I think the company has been very rapidly put in a position where it needs to "up it's game" which it seems to be dealing with well in the practical science space but less so on the communications front. A little naïve on the early COvid optimism front and don't forget AS is a scientist first and foremost not a marketing guru - our PR firm have to be to blame here too.

So from the RNS on 22Dec we know the financing cant be finalised without the SAMVAL report which had to be updated for the increased resource. They had the final draft versions 18th Dec which is 4 weeks on Friday. Factor in some down time over xmas it has to be close!

Satallite - you missed the second part of that paragraph out which is important:

"A highly scalable test device using readily available components and routine manufacturing processes has now been shown to have a sensitivity for coronavirus spike protein in laboratory samples better than 300 pg/ml which is in the range expected for spike protein in clinical samples."

Readily available components and BBI used in the whole process for the AN test, so there isn't any need for TT on the AN tests, only saliva.

Hence the addition of Romania and Czech Rep as it was clearly slower than expected in the UK. It's not just about UK cases, those people need to have diabetes and be willing to take part in the trial, it isn't just a case of more people getting Covid so the sign up rate increasing in line with that.
