Miners took a hit across the board today, markets generally a bit spooked after the gamestop debacle too.
Some funny action with precious metal prices too - cant see how they will keep a lid on gold prices longer term which is why this is such a good risk/reward opportunity.
Can understand why some sold into the rise here this was at 6p 6 months back to close to 100% gains is not to be sniffed at. I would think a lot left here have waited long enough now for the EP that they can wait a bit longer.
Standouts for me:
- Updated resource was very significant
- That is only for the south pit, we have north pit and Akrokeri prospects too on historically VERY good groud.
- Good chunk of shares in sticky hands (i.e. BOD) so when this moves it should move quick.
- Ghana is pretty stable as far as African mining jurisdictions go and very pro mining.
- Equipment on site and ready to mine when EP lands....be silly to do that without strong conviction it is going to happen.
- Gold price upside longer term looks strong
- Heap leaching technique and surface gold - low AISC!

For me plenty of pros that make this a solid risk/reward potential stock

Some cracking work leewill and just goes to show that when you do a bit of digging, there might be a slow flow of red dot RNS's but there's plenty going on in the background! Positioning the troops?

In his defence, prior to Covid AVCT were just bumbling along at their own pace doing some science and had some solid but probably unproven technology.
In a couple of months they were catapulted into a very different league. So many doors were opened and it became a game of spinning plates. I think AVCT now needs to grow its board and advisory panel to bring in some people with the relevant experience - that will stop any of the plates dropping, which I think AS is only just managing to do at the moment.

This also isn't just about Covid - if anything has come out of this horrific situation it is that the world was incredibly unprepared for it! The impacts will be long lasting and there will no doubt be a lot of money going into being prepared for the next one...no way could the global economies survive another one of these!
Prevention is cheaper than the cure they say. Spend time building the hardware and process templates then "insert XXX virus affimer" here.
A lot of frustration is just short sightedness being vented. There's a lot going on here and do you really think all these big names would be involved in something that was a complete dud?

Absolutely oxygen. Then you add in how easy it is to access markets nowadays - apps that allow you to trade partial shares, trading on swap so your average Joe can leverage themselves to the hilt (that's more akin to gambling in my view!) and also a larger group of people in the current environment have a lot more time on their hands and have dabbled.
It's a different game now - especially on AIM!

This desperation for a twitter post / retweet / like is madness in my view. I am by no means a technophobe but the markets operated pretty efficiently prior to the invention of Twitter.
They cant release anything on there that is price sensitive without it being RNS'd first so arguably, the stuff that matters we will hear about first.
Some good digging, detective work, ideas etc on there but it is just that.
Either AS has taken us all for a mug (and I would look very very silly having backed him tot he hilt if that is the case) OR there is a legitimate reason for the silence.
Just look at the Mologic fella who's daughter was spouting her mouth off on Twitter about "my daddys company are doing this and he said that". It's a PR disaster waiting to happen!
Keep it to the official channels.
Lets also not forget AS has circa 6m options is AVCT all linked to SP targets, profitability targets and commercial milestones. I'd call that skin in the game and a reason to be confident he is doing what he needs to for shareholders.

Good to see you back adamstallone - I know you'd been through the ringer a bit before with AVCT and from previous posts you're someone with a genuinely admirable reason to invest here. As well as myself and the other LTHs here, hope this one pays of for you buddy!
