Sangi - if you post the same thing every day, then of course you are going to be right at some point. If what you point out is "No RNS today I have this Co." you are likely to be right more days that not. This is what AW does - so your almighty prophet AW is just playing a numbers game where the odds are stacked in his/her favour. Hardly something to admire is it.

CS - great post and well recommended for newbies or Covid bandwagon investors here to take note of.
Not sure what people expected when they invested here but output delivered like clockwork in days/weeks just isn't how it works in the pharma industry. Especially when you are as small as AVCT were and still are trying to play in a shark tank full of giants with endless pockets and resources.
I agree, what we have is potentially groundbreaking and worth the risk.

Not sure if you think you've invested in GSK, Pfizer or another big pharma?
Avct only recently raised £50m to extend their business development and have 120 staff....what do you expect....30 things to be done at the flick of a switch. Things take time in this industry.
Also when you have a global pandemic with no blueprints on how to deal with it, that is exactly where R&D comes in. Not everything comes to fruition. Now vaccines are starting to roll out why would this be top of the list to spend limited resource on.

Well if anything that link shows testing isn’t going to disappear soon....they clearly think demand is there to be looking to produce 8m a day in Jan. Lets hope we’re right alongside them with ours and more - even take a share off the cr*ppy Chinese test!

When has anything Covid 19 related been on time? Surely that was something everyone will have known when investing here. There was always a risk a vaccine saved the day of Covid disappeared which we now know isnt the case. AS PL75 said, testing will be here for a good while yet so if its worth doing, its worth doing right and first time. Innvoa have made a few quid being opportunistic I cant state enough, this isnt what AVCT set out to do so they wont put all the resources into building a Covid LFT, its too risky. Their main business is oncology.
The reliance on third parties ha been the thorn here. I agree AS's timelines were naive but maybe you should take your gripes up with the govt, CONDOR, BBI, Cytiva and anyone else were still sat waiting to deliver on. Avct did their bit a long time ago.

Not at all - I just don't overexpose myself unlike a lot of people who jumped in on a spike in the Covid rush having done very little research on the company. Hoping to make a quick buck on an unknown pandemic, unknown solution....
If we drop to 50p which we absolutely wont do, cash on balance sheet is £50m for starters then I am happy to sit on a small profit until what I invested here for originally comes to fruition, which was cancer therapies.
If it all comes crashing down in the therapeutics side so be it, I took my risk and paid the price. But what I categorically wouldn't want is that to come crashing down because AS felt he had to bundle together a Covid LFT for all the moaners on a share BB......

You're a pleb wolves. I invested here years ago at 35p on the basis of AVCTs tie ups with global pharmas relating to the incredible therapeutics potential and having the IP to Affimers which also have the potential to be transformational in the medical space.
I really hope AS spins out the therapeutics business and focuses on running that, leaving the diagnostics Co. as just a POBox for PI's to send angry letters every day spouting "where's my test", "are we there yet", "you lied to us"......get a grip.

Your boss would know about the reasons for the delays and the fact they are third party delays. Would you be out of a job if you said I had done all my work by summer, sorry I though everyone else would do the same (Cytiva/BBI/Govt/CONDOR...the list goes on)...absolutely not!

Tbh I don't care if we don't sell any LFT's. If we miss the boat it means Covid has disappeared which I am more than happy to happen for the sanity of most in this country. I would much rather that than a backyard test ruin the reputation of a company who have such huge future potential and not sell anything in the future.

Therapeutics will be where the revenues are long term (or even a buyout) so the name of AVCT and Affimers needs to keep credibility unlike the Innovas of the world who will lose all credibility in the scientific world now.

Doggy - having held since March you clearly invested with the herd on the COViD wave. There were risks involved in that investment. It wasn’t what the business ever set out to do, it was an opportunity to showcase what affimers can do - but that had to be with the right product at the right time, which is when it is ready. Look at the stick all the crappy tests are getting!
AS has the reputation of a therapeutics business to protect which is backed by partnerships with large pharma. He can’t just go thrashing together a rubbish test to please PIs.
He’s been naive in him timelines no doubt about it which will be frustrating for many who who got in on the spike wanting a quick earner.
For me as a LTH this has played out well, we have funding to progress the multiple business streams that would otherwise have been shelved for years without the placing. I for one am glad he hasn’t thrown out a haphazard test and is protecting the integrity of AVCTs name in the professional space where they own the IP to what could be revolutionary tech.
I get your underwater but if you’re seething you need to relax. You’ve clearly never invested in a true AIM dog share, then you’ll know what a true conman operates like. AS isn’t one, just a scientist trying to run a business with huge growth potential.
