Intesting post from MIDIA entitled -why x marks the sport for ITV. Generally favourable. it ends with. "Betting on the silver streamer FAST opportunity will deliver that long-term growth strategy while also reassuring nervous investors"
lets hope so
and my guess is a finger in the air. ADRs mean nothing, England team coming home means nothing, missed ads or those banked mean nothing. Sentiment is all that matters and until we get some solid results and clear direction price will float around existing price.

'If you feel offended for calling out deramping comments then better not post anything!'
Not surprisingly you have completely missed the point as your original post more than implied I was a deramper. You appear to be in a world that insists on using labels instead of just accepting differing opinions that is our right to embrace or ignore.

is your assessment of a deramper someone who simply has or expresses as a different view to yours? Read what I said and you will see I am support of ITV and want it be valued at its true worth
Does anyone really believe the World Cup, an England run and being maxed out on adverts will make any difference to the share price. Surely all of this is factored in already. There are only 2 things that will add momentum. The first will be (as announced) a potential buyer for parts/all of the studios and the next will be a positive interim report that shows ITVX is everything the board had hoped for. Until then current sentiment will keep ITV hovering and bouncing around its current price. Not what I want as I really believe it is under valued but hey ho that's the way it is.
I have had ITVX for just over a week and I have go say I am quite impressed. The first think is the volume of programme availability but even more so is the fact it works seemlessly on my phone and iPad, no lag straight in. Now none of that means it will be successful but what I also like is that you can download an incredible library that is useful when you don't have wi-fi or a signal. For this you have to pay the monthly subscription plus in doing so you get other benefits, ie no ads etc etc. For me I had no prior inclination of paying this monthly charge but now I am considering it whereas prior to its launch I would have dismissed such a thought. So maybe, just maybe others will feel the same that might lead to a successful initiative and financial viability that has been dismissed by financial institutions. I hope so but as always with ITV it will be wait and see game.
just read this on Moneyweek via times(published 18th) slightly worrying with regard to its 'avoid' guidance. Sorry if I missed this being posted earlier.
The Times
ITV’s “shiny new streaming platform” is not enough to offset the “deterioration in advertising spending” that will continue to affect the company and hit earnings. Avoid (79p)
Shaunymac - Not sure if this is good or bad?
Reading the article I would say it is clearly indicating a modest upturn to 0.75, everything else is up in the air. If this proves to be the case this might be positive as the recent article indicating a desire to sell off some assets will only see it go higher. How much who knows.
Seems there is never a month, quarter or reporting period where Barclays is not fined for something or other. The latest 50m will be absorbed and no one will be made accountable. No wonder its credibility is diminished and if it continues its share price will languish with institutions giving it a wide berth.
ramborvan says
'This will be at .60p in the morning as everyone bails tomorrow as they only bought to get the dividend'
I presume you base this on a finger in the air and an alternative reason that no one cares about. Here is my prediction for tomorrow that is much more likely and based on nothing but rationale. The dividend will impact as expected with the share ending the day >0.64. This will be followed by some interesting movement over the coming days/weeks based on the weekend speculation. Apart from a black swan event this share will not see the lower 60s again. Now this is more likely than your drivel.
Jamrock - don't think you have lost the plot. Everything you have said has the potential to happen, so it is worthy of consideration with everyone making their own mind up. Always good to get a contrary point of view.
