It is an interesting article. Its seems that serious decisions are taking place for studio sell off but (my view) if sold what would ITV have left to be viable and attractive to investors, I suspect this is a major concern for the CEO and board. I therefore believe there is an impetus to sell lock stock and barrel and work towards negating regulatory concerns. Even if this is not the case the article indicates city confidence in going forward. Time will tell.

Really good to see ITV holding firm despite turmoil in US and European markets.

There was me thinking everything is your world is Binary. either 0 or 1s. But of course for you that’s not strictly true as you are like a quantum bit, where you can be a 0 or 1 at the same time. Some really interesting articles published today about the potential of selling off the studios. If it was to happen it casts doubts on how the rest of Itv could survive and strengthen. The sale could be used for reinvestment, special dividends and/or innovation but that would simply lead to uncertainty until such investment came to fruition. The trouble here is it could replicate a downward and depressed price as we saw with the launch of ITVX. Any such sale would though have immediate benefits for short term holders. Perhaps ITVs strength in going forward is as a whole within continued strategies for the future. (Please, if you do disagree, that’s fine, but be nice)

Lots of suppositions, conspiracy and skull duggery theories , in the absence of being blind like evermore else let me add another possibility. Could the fact not simply be that the buy backs have ceased for the moment as a trigger price might have been met which is outside of agreements made. Given the fact the share price has risen (although nothing like it should have) this has acted as a buffer. If the price falls a number of percentage points then they might kick back in. No idea really, just adding to the mix.

Now we both know you take any and every opportunity to bash the current CEO and this is based on your significant loss at EasyJet when she at the helm. Everyone has some form of motivation in reading and posting here, mainly because of investments made. So what motivates an individual to post incessantly with so much hatred (to all) when as you admitted you have not held ITV for nearly a year. At some point counselling has to kick in. And as for the deflection of BP , really.

Getting away from the girls anybody got an inkling why the price has moved more than usual(accepting close of play is normally lower).

You are right what he has failed to mention is the automatic margin that is at detriment at the point of purchase. Clearly he is only dealing in small amounts with small profits when the right call is made. Hardly a stance to make in then assuming everyone else are idiots or imbeciles.
