@AimMaster 'These shorters aren't budging are they!'

Aimless - don't worry about the shorts, they are fleas on brown cardigans. The shorts took a position prior to when the Aviva offer for Direct Line was announced. Direct Line's share price increased from circa £1.60 to circa £2.35 in two days on 28 and 29 November. Those shorts (includes your favourite Qube) were burned badly...

Aimless the shorts don't always get it right...they were wrong with Direct Line, and they will be wrong with Capita. If the shorts stay too long under the sun in Capita, they will look as bright red as your favourite Uncle Rodney who forgot his sunscreen when he went on a summer holiday at Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley, California.

AH has proven himself to be very professional, competent and invested in Capita. AH has appointed an excellent management team to support him. I think Capita will be one of the big turnaround companies on the LSE in near future starting with the RNS on 17 December and the full results in mid March 2025.

I remember on AH's video update recently, he mentioned he was off to Germany to discuss a good sales opportunity. It may be AH does not want to highlight good new or renewed sales wins on RNS, but rather wait for the trading update on 17 December, and make announcements then, which would have more of an impact. I don't know if this is the case or not, just a hunch. Mind you, my hunches are almost always right.

Good to see you've cooled off with a few pints at Wetherspoons Aberdeen Iceland, Iceman, Icecream or whatever you like to call yourself. I did recieve a message from the Bar Manager at Wetherspoons who asked me to ask you to stop please stop drooling over the barmaid Edith and handing her your business card. The Bar Manager would like to remind you that although she is single, she is 83 years old, and she walks with a rather profound limp. That said, she still has most of her original teeth (only the top front two teeth are missing), so every cloud has a silver lining... Who knows, you may get lucky!

BTW Try as you may, you cannot shut JO down...or off for that matter.

Agreed. Any further fall in the Wood Group share price will happen on the day the relegation is announced, and probably another 3 days thereafter. After that (unless there is more bad news), then the share price should remain stable and possibly start to rise thereafter. This is why I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I may add more Wood Group shares about 3 days after Wood Group has been relegated to small caps.

It's just sad to see how quickly the Wood Group share price has fallen so far so quickly.

Unfortunately, the Wood Group sell off prior to next week's demotion from the FTSE250 to small caps has started (£52.90 as at the time of this post, down 1.76% today). Even if the CEO (I use that term very lightly) of Wood Group issues an 'upbeat' RNS on Monday, I don't think Wood Group can be saved from relegation to the small caps now.

Firstly, I think you should change your name to something more apt...like, breakingwind. Secondly, I've never said I was a billionaire. Thirdly, No I don't have a spare fiver for you to invest in Wood Group, so don't ask me again.

With Wood Group? Yes you're probably right. If the CEO of Wood Group was competent, I'd think differently. However, he is as cold, wet, thick and gloopy as yesterday's bowl of Scottish porridge.

To state the obvious, there are plenty of discussions and negotiations taking place yesterday, today and over this weekend between all parties - management, institutional investors and other stakeholders. Let's see what next week brings...

Good to see Icecool. Now I've heard Whetherspoons in Abderdeen only charges £2.26 per pint of ale. When you arrive, put away your Scottish bagpipes, take off your tartan Scottish bonnet and use it to collect a few pennies for your round. Just let everyone know there is a cost of living crisis and your Wood Group shares have plummeted...eveyone else in the pub will look at you and say "We're in here for the same reasons!"

@Icecool. As a pretty successful investor over many years (too many to count)... I can assure you that share price IS everything. Share price goes up, you make money. Share price goes down, you lose money. Pretty simple.

Looks like Icecool is headed to the pub for a few drinks in an effort to cool off...
