Cheers for the links the other day on digital growth etc,doesn't suggest a dying industry somehow,it would be good if the market starts to price in a small amount of growth rather than obsessing with a slowing decline!! The local rag we deal with are making good revenues as the weaker brands have fallen by the wayside the last few years so one would think consolidation is a positive thing.

No mate, I'm already invested, a few from last year and beyond plus a lot more recently. Ultimately mr market will decide sentiment and the makers and the punters will follow,as they do!! GLA

Well I'd like to see them rocket into the 30's as they've done twice in the last 4 years mate but that seems a long way away at the moment!!! If the results are good or "not as bad as expected" and more importantly they sort out some decent terms on the refinancing it could be a steady recovery,otherwise i guess they'll just hang around these levels till some more "growth-inspiring" jv's pop up on the digital side where all the growth seems to be,though i have to say i think theres a few more years mileage in the local papers contrary to popular opinion and they're cash-generative,hopefully enough to keep knocking holes in the debt.

I think a lot of investors sit on the sidelines and wait for momentum before leaping aboard. TNI finals next thursday might be an insight although i believe the circs are different here. We're already "in" richer or poorer rofl!!

Welcome aboard the jp revival/recovery(we hope), nothing more to add other than we,ve seen a resurgence of interest here since xmas and the signs are positive from what i've read plus as an advertiser in local press,they seem to be busy and cash-generative despite all the doom and gloom,good luck mate and all!!!

Good news on results and good reneg terms on the debt and we'll be rerated in a significantly northerly direction,its a binary bet and my money is on the upside with a slight feeling of positive sentiment lurking, if it goes the wrong way i'll just forget about them for the time being and consider them a "sleeping recovery share"!!! GLA

A good week indeed. Hopefully the terms of debt repayment will be advantageous to jpr as a viable concern going forwards and growth will be simultaneous, contemporaneous maybe with recovery? I've held these for years but on three occasions I've had significant 'extras', two of which they shot up into the 30,s and I can't grumble. As to where they go,your guess is as good as mine and predictions are pointless as sentiment is so often the driving force in these matters and sentiment is impossible to value. I'd like to think they get the debt reduced and the terms give us a hefty rerating. All the ingredients are here for a cracking rise but who knows! GLA

Interesting to see the zoopla move,rightmove is the clear leader but deeply unpopular with its advertisers as the rate increases are straining budgets and arrogant delivery thereof is encouraging agents to look elsewhere with some gusto!! I guess this implies tie ups with dmgt brands much like the jobsite jv not so long ago which brings into play the prospect of cost savings, potential consolidations which can only be a good thing for holders here, that's how I see it anyhow but I'm biased !

Should be some interesting moves in the next few weeks,noticed trinity results out a week before these which may give an indication,good luck all!!

I don't know about being a t/o target but there's a lot of talk about cost saving synergies that could come with consolidations in the sector?

Shes a steady one mate,thought we were heading for a year high early on but in true defensive style drifted back and didn't join the rally( like vod which surprised me more). THT,yes I've a few like that, a certain holiday company plus just about all my retail except mks fall into the forget about drawer(for now anyway!!). Good to hear from you,all the best too mate.

Indeed mate,I'm also wary of recommending shares these days in case!!! However these are my exception too,safe and dull suits me. Was lucky enough to pile in around the rights issue time and have been reinvesting the divs too and my last actual top up was just before the most recent ex div at 630 ish which is fine really. The only dilemma I have is raising funds to top up if they dip back into the 5, s again!!! Are you still in THT? I'm kind of wishing I wasn't though only have a few of them,contemplating a few more but that's a different animal really!!

Well it might have been because I hadn't bothered checking the day before mate lol. I tend not to 'worry' about these unlike some in the p/f!!! Hope all good with you.
