No other news factual news but when we got it first time round the M M s played games with the SP so stay firm and hold.

Not expecting anything new, fool if I was. Happy they have Hav in their highlights so all is good and on we go from here.

As our 30% if monitised makes this company, and have always thought the same. Prove the next best project up ourselves for a fraction of what it could conservatively be valued at.

The quotes we see for an order through for example Hardgreaves, are the best Bid & Offers available at that moment from the several MMs. The best bid / offer will obviously not be from the same MM. The likes of Hardgreaves could themselves give you the best price available but take your trade with themselves if they have a trading desk that acts as principal. In effect they take on their clients orders and do a bulk / net trade with MMs.

Let’s be clear, the rise of late has been on demand how much of that was investors or traders is not know exactly. All occurred between factual news so if demand drops then we know some turbulence can be expected until the next exploration update.
Some positive comments tonight will reassure all passengers on this long haul flight.

Yes, the timeline for results could well be at the longer end of the scale Paddy but It will be hard for NC to keep them under wraps for so long especially with the number s now working on and offsite. I am hoping for some infill results as well.
Oh and they still haven’t found the edge yet would be nice of course.

Yes I do believe there will be positive language around Telfer and Hav which is always welcome but in recent weeks there have been posts and expectations of new drill results. They will be disappointed.

What is everyone expecting from NC tomorrow night other than confirmation of what they have already said to date on Telfer and Hav.
Cannot imagine they will give more details than have already been formally announced to the market in the usual format.

Spy, margin is calculated, in the case of GGP cash plus your profits so if just GGP surely there would be no call on margin or have I missed something.

Weather up there was affecting the quality of the football. Watched my lot last night on tv and really affected them, they won for a change LOL

I also guess GGP/ Newcrest have touched on the what if scenarios. Ie the final number of oz s in ground. We know 5% will attract fair value but I cannot imagine GH does not know what NC s view is on the rest and the ball park figure they will almost certainly buy for if all pans out as expected.

Taking a stake in GGP is interesting.
I guess it is possible to have a % stake that is large enough to thwart a bid from a 3rd party but not big enough that would require them to make a bid themselves

Assuming HAV is in the bag for them and GGP surely Newcrest must be thinking of at least some of GGP s other nearby targets in which they have first refusal.
They must also be acutely aware that all the other potential could be lost or at best become more expensive if a 3rd party steps in with a bid.
Chances are that they have an agreement to see results ahead of the market and would be logical to either:
1. Enter in other JV
2. Buy the additional 5 or 30% of Hav to let GGP advance prospects to Resource stage and then exercise any first refusal
Just a thought for discussion

Whoever gave the recommendations to Shelley’s post really need to understand the basic principles of a takeover.
