I would not be unduly surprised or concerned if opec didn't change anything tomorrow they may well choose to sit on their hands and wait to see how the price cap impacts the market and oil price.

It's a possibility Meoryou after all they did it before. It would be a most welcome development and certainly the share price might need a little help.

Jammer there's a real appetite for the dividend to be substantially uplifted, Meoryou has said that politically now would be good time wise. Realistically though if it dies happen we will have to wait until Feb 23 when we see Q4 and full year results, which should be very healthy. The reason we won't see the possible increase till then is because they have already declared the div in USA. just my opinion.

It's not intended to choke off russian oil from world markets. Its actually wanting russia to continue selling but restricting the profit they make. For example investing billions in a fleet of old tankers, some of which are long past their scrapby date. They will not have access to european tankers or cargo insurance. I would not be surprised if some of these rustbuckets didn't sink. It will be very interesting to see how this evolves over the coming weeks.

I think the adviser to Ukraine should think very carefully before vilifying a flagship uk company. bp havnt profited in any way since the war began from its holdings in Russia. I think its entirely appropriate that we should sell our Rosneft stake whenever we can, what is the alternative hand it over to Putin ??? Where's the logic in that.
We have given billions in unstinting support to Ukraine and they should have more respect in return. They are playing a very silly game.

CR888, if the dividend is increased as I believe it should be then every possibility of share price being 550 - 570 range, in my humble opinion
