HopeGreedNothing, next thing they will be saying is BP started this blasted war. The BP board have made its position perfectly clear in regard to its Rosneft stake, and have not received a single penny in dividends on its investment in Rosneft, furthermore it has taken a $20bn hit on its balance sheet. Just what is it that you think they could have done under the sanctions and russian laws preventing foreign companies from receiving funds or offloading their assets. If we are able to eventually find a buyer, be it China, India or indeed Russian then the matter can be concluded to the satisfaction of the board and ourselves as shareholders. I see nothing wrong or imoral in realising asset value for the benefit of BP. the alternative is to just hand over the $20bn plus accrued dividends to Putin, not that's what I would call immoral. I take issue with the economic adviser to ukrain's comments that BP is receiving blood money. They are very happy to accept the billions we've offered in aid and arms but now they are getting greedy and expect us to rebuild ukraine. I have every sympathy with ukraine but russia started the war and they should pay reparation costs.
