Judges can take as long as they want. They have to write a detailed and reasoned document . It could be handed down via the internet, I don't know. I still think we will "win" unless there has been a procedural cxxx up. How far or whether we proceed with the deal none of us know. IMO.

I think it is seen as a sensible move in the current climate, backed up by good trading figures. Better deferred than cancelled IMO.

Fernan So, if conditional on all those things, the company can choose not to proceed, surely. It would mean wasting what has been spent on the legal process but still preferable to an equity raise. Debt maturity would have to be renegotiated. Not good but better than a rights issue. We'll see, we are but pawns in this.

As I understand it, the proceedings will be about whether consultation has been done correctly and the necessary level of votes obtained NOT the merits of the proposed deal. So, after the hearing, Premier can adjust the deal or bin it if there is an appropriate clause. I still think TD has something up his sleeve to, hopefully, burn the shorters. IMO

I'm nit convinced the acquisition will go ahead. It makes sense ti finish the court process and then reassess. in my view, thus is hinted at.
