Rarely post and have been avoiding this board in recent times, I realised after the drop the sort of reading to expect. I myself are a long term holder and have balanced investments in around 8 how chip shares plus Sirius. On that basis I am fortunate to be able to sit and wait ,win or lose for this one. I therefore believe I can have a balanced view.
To gloat at others misfortune is clearly wrong, you can't control these people so don't bother. Once you've experienced a potentially life changing issue health or otherwise you inherit a wisdom never before experienced. Life is a journey fuel of pitfalls, it's how you deal with them. Control the things you can, not the things you cannot. My heart goes out to all those who have lost significant sums, hopefully they will have time to retrieve the situation.
One thing to throw in the mix, open thought ,not ramp or derail. Sometimes you need to step back and take a different view of events. How large financially are the contractor? They are carrying an awful lot of the build risk albeit for a premium price. What are the chances of them being the "strategic partner" ? Could they find the build to completion for a return from Sirius? As someone has already suggested,o ce the main build is complete the risk reduces significantly.
Just my thoughts ........shoot me down !
Have a great weekend all
