Just read through the posts following the mail article yesterday. Can any CEO not care anything about shareholders?
Some time back I watched a program about the make up of psychopath. basis of the program was to compare psychopaths with the top city CEOs using a psychopathy test. The outcome was that some CEOs were near the top of the scale!
The producers explained it was based around of many things empathy, their point being to be successful you need to be totally focused and ruthless.
I just tried mine and scored a 3, not sure if that's good or bad!
I'm a LTH and have just stuck these away and forgotten about them , worse case lose the lot or a nice surprise.

I am LTH here and still hold all my shares. I read the board daily and see the knockers cone and go, some of the dross posted names me smile. I certainly have some sympathy with those who are sitting with a massive loss and would probably envy them if things had gone to plan and they were set up for life. You stand or fall by the decisions you make.
The same applies to the BOD and in particular Chris Fraser. Had everythy gone ok he would be more than happy to take the plaudits for the success of the project, and in my personal view probably still will.
If you cut through all the smoke on this forum the only real facts are SXX need finance, the BOD made a call and it was proved to be wrong, they are solely responsible for the current position, not the shareholders.
Truth be known CF and the BOD know this and if they had the time again would probably make a different call. We are where we are and the BOD need to earn their money and put right what was a bad decision on their part.

Shouldn't affect Aviva at all in my view. They were for once well ahead of the game when they stared promoting the " same price for exus customers" Have to say I gave renewed my Household and Motor insurance and these were still very competitive.
There was a significant rise in travel insut of around 35% this year which was according to the person I spoke with a company decision. Having shopped around for me they were still very competitive though.

Of course any country is free to leave based on any punitive measures the EU wish to impose. Negotiation is not in the EUs vocabulary. Should the UK eventually leave as was voted for ( I and many others did understand what we voted for) the EU are worried others may follow suit hence their attitude to negotiation.
The fact remains the UK joined the Common Market , a free trading area. The EU us so far removed from that now it no longer recognisable as such.

Or we could just bend over and ask them how much they would like to give us! This country has been robbed blind by the EU for far too long. What started out as a common trading market has developed into a United States of Europe, something the Germans and their French poodles have always worked towards.
