Hi LTI. Probably not very clear by me.. only that I agree there will be profit takers. That's how you achieve (hopefully) a positive, minimal risk position.

Weird thing is Colour some truly do not believe it is possible to have a positive position here through trading over the years. One particular poster persistently asks" why are you still invested here?" Could it possibly be that someone has finished trading this and just put their tranche of shares to one side awaiting the final outcome? In that position it matters not whether you call the company out for non performance,it won't change the sentiment, the final outcome will be either very good ,or if you are in deep potentially very bad. There is more ways to make money other than a one dimensional view looking for a multibagger. AIMO if course.

Hello LTI. Not according to Tonyj. When I suggested I was on a free ride he as much as suggested I was not telling the truth. Yourself and LTH I am sure would agree the share price movements and trend over the last few months is nothing new for CC. It really is knowing when to trade based on some common sense and previous company history. Yes I got it wrong sometimes, particularly as a new investor here many moons ago. Once you get to see the wood from the trees however it has been more than possible to have a promising trading position here. AIMO of course.

Take a look at the historical director purchases and the price. They've called it wrong more than once. The amount of free shares and bonuses received over the years plus inflated salaries compared to performance no doubt make it less painful. Been worth a punt over the last few months though for any new investors but high risk, high reward potentially. All about diverse portfolio and spreading the risk. AIMO of course DYOR.

Cannot believe people are still banging on about smart lighting. It is pretty basic technology, there are and gave been multiple offerings for at least 10 years. CC may as well start selling groceries. They would be better sticking to what they profess to be "world leaders " in and have a " massive pipeline " of orders in. At least that way they are in with a sniff. Try a Google search for smart lighting, should tell you all you need to know. AIMO DYOR.

Just a thought. Has anyone considered that those managing/ investing the pension fund could be making a killing over the last 12 months? Any investment manager worth his salt should be making money in the current climate. Thi in itself could turn around some if the pension deficit. Only my opinion but it will be interesting come May.

Think you missed it foxbat. I was trying point out ,not to well to you that if you are not filling both over your investment years you would be foolish.
In my experience even taking into account the tax free status , more often than not special dividends etc do not always benefit shareholders. Cash paid out reduces the share price accordingly. Unless there is a plan in place to make the company more profitable post the special payment there is usually no benefit. All my investments are 100% tax efficient ,attract zero tax and this has been the case for for years. How about yours?
