RE: The Empanelment Process was introduced .......1 Jul 2022 10:52
Morning LTI.
The next step of course will be the contract stage followed by formal procurement sign off. This can take some time as procurement generally want input regarding the contract terms. I would say around a further 3 to 4 months best guess, that takes us to around November.
I think it's also worth considering that CC are in effect a sub contractor to the main suppliers? That being the case there will be contractual negotiations between them and the main contractor to finalise ( the end user will require a specific level of insurance, consequential loss cover etc.) Although the main contractor will ultimately provide this to the end user , they will of course require sufficient cover is held by all their suppliers. Main suppliers using subcontractors is a bit of a nightmare in my experience and although easy enough to resolve can take some time.
Of course one would hope most of the groundwork is done and it's just the final touches.
On that basis and it's only my personal thoughts, I think any contracts will be Q2/Q3 2023 as I have said before. Any earlier would be a bonus
The more I think about it and again it's only my opinion, I believe this may be the hold up regards the TU. CC were hoping something imminently positive to come from the Empanelment Process in the way of an order, based upon the April date. I don't think they realised the potential timescales involved. For me if that was the case it was a bit poor on their part but we are where we are. No doubt the TU when it eventually arrives will tell all.
