Firstly ; Yes, we have had a bad few days but the good news is that "I`m still here" as most of us are.
I see an excellent future product for SNG as a preventive, protections (small hand held) nasal sparay or inhaler to offer a degree of protection against Covid , flue etc.... let me explain: Historically through-out Covid, when there was a possibility of catching anything, in addition to masks, hands and all the other precautions, I have used the "First Defence" anit -bacterial /virus nasal spray and continue to do so. In addition I have also purchased the SaNOtize (Nitric Oxide) nasal spray ( posted on this board on 10th Febs under subject "Glenmark Pharma "). The reason is that Covid / flue seem to first enter & incubate in back of throat / nasal passage (I stand to be corrected / educated on this) and any inhaler via mouth or nasal spray would seem a good product.
So; I see SNG as a similar future product that people can easily carry around with them and if they feel exposed, they can apply the product (mouth or nasal) very quickly, efficiently and without supervision. After all we are told we have to live with Covid in the same way as the Flu. SNG have now a vast amount of experience in inhalers and their product. There would be many advantages to this product including availability "over the counter" without prescription and the ease of application.
I would guess that SNG have considered this and as the urgency to save lives receeds via their existing inhaler product, they will be looking at new applications including COPD. So all is not lost by any means.
The thing to consider is, are others (Polygon etc.. ) possibly aware of a similar future for the SNG product via a nasal / inhaler spray. .. and continue to invest heavily ??
Your thoughts appreciated as always.
P.S: AXE & others: Could we please still proceed with the "Party" anyway, I know it may feel like a wake but so what, after all the purpose was to get together and exchange ideas and have a good laugh, and we can still laugh about it, it would be a relief to a lot of us, I`m sure.

Hi Porkerchips, seems a quite day on this board and I know this is a bit off topic but hopefully of use to some of you out there.
Subject: Capital gains set against Capital losses
Porkerchips; Please note that on the same document on the Gov. UK site under Capital Gains which you provided a link for, it states: "You can carry forward the remaining losses to a future year"
Since the sentence did not state how many years you can carry a Capital loss forward, I contacted HMRC directly on 29-03-21
and their response was: "If it was a limited number of years, they would have specified it and therefore it is indefinite"
I therefore only sold some PFC shares at a loss and more recently a second property (which I made a Capital gain on) based
on the information I had received from my telephone call with HMRC. I feel I have taken every precaution necessary to safeguard against supplying HMRC with incorrect information on my tax return.
Please do let me know if you have a different interpretation / understanding of these rules which I would be grateful for.

unfortunately the lack of scientific hindsight with regards to the "so called " green / sustainable /renewable energies including wind will have dire consequences similar to the over use of fossil fuels in the years to come. But what the heck, if we all stuck to our personal moral and ethical investment strategies we would not make as much money. And lets face it, that is what we are all hear for.
Above may be a bit on the negative side but "I`m still hoping for £6 per share in the not too distance future"

NT22; Yes that is exactly what I did ( tax loss). However as part of my tax planning strategy I was able to off set this capital loss against a capital tax gain on the sale of a second property. So basically I sold quite a few shares in PFC that I had purchased for approx. .£17 in the good old days and recorded it as a capital loss. Its a good tip to remember since you never know when you may also make a capital gain. Any loss can also be carried forward indefinately. Please check with HMRC or an accountant to be certain.
I still do hold a considerable number of PFC shares and although I do not see the SP reaching the dizzy heights of the good old days, I`m hopeful that it will gradually starts recovering over the next few years.

Axe... "Starter for 10.." was that by any chance a reference to the host of university challenge Bamber Gascoigns who passed away a few days ago ? I used to love that programs.
On a related SNG note, just to protect myself, the Mrs and new baby ("Air. Jen" due next week), I just ordered some ENOVID spray. I was actually hoping that SNG would eventually end up as a similar nasal spray protector against COVID but you never know.

I personally am delighted that to date I have not heard Boris or Handjob mention our product or company for the following reasons:
a/. They would not have effected the process of Sprinter or Activ or the timescales.
b/. Courting politicians always comes at a heavy cost.
c/. Ask yourself the question: Would you want Boris talking about it ? Probably like giving it the kiss of death.

Scaramouch.. Yes, you are right... I did not notice it when I was typing and got carried away.
Trouble is, even though the Mrs has one in the oven, she is already indication she wants another with sentences like:
"Would`nt it be lovely for "Air Jen" to have a baby brother" . To date my response has been "Children are not just for Kissmaass" but she is wearing me down... like she did last year ! I know what`s the right thing to do.

3/. Visit deserts and hunt for Meteorites.
4/. Run an educational program to stop people overpopulating this magnificent planet.
5/. Make an upfront payment to Dignitas, Dignity and Digoxin for peace of mind.

With regards to my calculations for due date, I`m afraid they all hinge around the birth date of our baby "Air, Jen"
