The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
PMJH : Thanks for bringing this (& other) events to our attention and it was definately worth watching both as an investor and curious Covixer (someone who is in the Matrix during COVID).
The presenter (Strawberry blonde with a red front buttoned dress) .. Kate, was a bit amaturish and had to present Prof Holgate twice but I suppose that`s one of the drawbacks of being virtual and live. Think she needs to go across my knee for siix of the best (just to warm her up). I could swear when the camera went back to her, she had released another button !!.
My impression of the event: Everyone bar Prof. Holgate was introduced and brief discussion of their interest and specialities and once they seemed to have chatted for 28 minutes. Prof. Holgate was introduced at 17:28. My feeling was that the panel were mainly there to hear what he had to say (as others have indicated here). Yes, he talked about inhaled Inf and USA & UK home trials starting again at 17:38. I was impressed that Dr. Hans Kluge (WHO Europe Director) was in attendance and listening in with interest. The Prof. did talk about the easy use of the inhaler during home treatments using Vileo..!! (is this a internet platform ?) and visiting nurses to assist in home treatment.
Prof. Holgate indicated that we have to stop patients dying in hospitals and therefore need new treatments.
In addition Dr. H. Klug said: "The virus had a big appetite" and that "The Pandemic is not going to be beaten in hospitals"
I wonder if he was there to specifically listen to or open a line of communication with to Prof. Holgate ?
I did submit a question about an innovative "new treatment" incorporating a novel approach but it was not aired since I do not think anyone would have had a clue, plus the event time was limited to 1 hour only.
So as some have already said, There was nothing there that we did not already know. So no new unknowns that we knew and no unknowns that we did`nt know about.. I might just go and watch Donald Rumsfeld doing that tongue twister again on youtub.... or alternatively I could think a butt Kate a bit more....

Markie: I was buying at around 210p a few months ago and bailed out before the Special divi since it really was "Capital return" and did not want the hassel of having to buy back with Divi payment etc etc.
I am now awaiting another opportunity to buy back in at around 210-219P since as long as there is all this news about vaccination and "other" treatments/ theraputics, I see the Sp gradually falling. IMHO
Good luck
Fruitsnveg & Pmjh: Regarding the BTS presentation, I registered with BTS but to view the presentation you have to be a full member . For full membership one needs to be in the medical / science field (which I am not) and I think its about under £200 for a year. Then one can view previous events.
Any volunteers to join ? We can pool our resources together to cover the cost. I`m sure it will be worth every penny.
But if anyone else can gain access to the presentation, I / we would appreciate any info.
This up coming event was kindly highlighted by: PMJH a few days ago and I thought I would remind those interested.
You can listen in / watch it online but first need to register. Prof S. Holgate will be on the panel. Credits to PMJH
owl 11: Thanks for posting the details of the Symposium which you had found .From what I understand it was "the BTS winter meeting" (British Thoriacic Society) and Prof. Tom Wilkinson from Southampton was making a presentation about Interferon B. There also seems to be one tomorrow. I have joined the BTS but obviously have to pay to attend the online Symposium and its now too late to attend. For full membership one needs to be in the medical / science field (which I am not) and I think its about under £200 for a year. Then one can view previous events.

Tomorrows event may also contain further info.
Many thanks.
Scinv: I agree. What I have been particularly trying to find out is a patient / s who have NOT lost their sense of smell & taste and who were / are on the SNG trial. The reason is that there is a slight taste to Interferon when inhaled which appears at the back of the throad / nasal passage.
Anyway it does not really matter since results will be more solid and substantial than me trying to second guess them.
Sterland55: Many thanks for your response ( Especially about the smell & taste) & first hand experience. As a volunteer are you in contact with SNG regarding any further feedback and are you by any chance in touch with any of the others on the trial.
P.S: how about a sparing session when you are better since I did a bit of amature boxing in my youth but got fed up with knocking six bells out of people.
All the best: Jaffjoon
owl 11: Thanks for posting the details of the Symposium. From what I understand it was "the BTS winter meeting" is that correct. There also seems to be one tomorrow. Please confirm if you can. I also joined the BTS but obviously have to pay to attend the online Symposium and its now too late to attend. Any idea what is covered in tomorrows presentation. Also if you attended could you please expand on what was discussed and can we view the event soon ?
Many thanks.
