Of the current ships at sea there are only a handful capable of running on methanol. Ships built to date have to run on the fuels that they were designed to run on, methanol not being one of them. So the transition may take 30 to 40 years to have all vessels running on methanol, this is the reason that bot MSAR and Bio MSAR are transition fuels.
So unless Maersk are going to replace their whole fleet with new ships with methanol ready engines, they too have to go through the transition as do others, thats where QFI technology come in to play.
