Agree Bermuda,
There are times when we all need to think of the greater good in terms of welcoming any advance in the fight vs cancer wherever it comes from and equally having 2 Covid 19 Vax showing very promising results yes interim but far in advance of what the Scientific Community expected.
The Govt of which I am no particular fan of have got an immeasurably difficult job of trying to cover all the bases re Vax and of predicting and supporting many different efforts.
It may well be the first generation Vax do a superb job and that advances yes may generate additional attributes which could be game changing or marginal.We don’t know.
Hopefully the AGM can answer some of our questions but it really imo not a question of wanting other Approaches not to succeed leaving the field clear for SCLP.
That is not how it works and the success of other Cancer Vax will help SCLP and we should be heartened by not only the support of Redmile in wanting to develop the science but the speed and breadth of progressing that into data

Yes Coldjoe, Been a long wait.
Futuresbright I know these boards are quiet at times but there are a lot of peeps invested here who maybe are not very vocal. Many have big holdings and been in for several years from the lows to the highs and back down again.
Great to see this coming to fruition as peeps averages vary a fair bit depending on when they got in.I have been in since 2015 but did not have big stake until I bought more when the ET deal was done.

I think the govt contract was different for a number of reasons.
Normally with a CRO the payments are made around certain milestones. Yes yiu may get some at the start. So a bit like a deposit on a house so a commitment and also to cover any trial preparation so more the expense the bigger the” deposit”.
FPI which is First Patient In and then LPO(Last Patient out) and then finalising the data are other milestones.
With say RSV or Influenza contracts ORPH will make more profit early on as they already have the models and are used to these.
With the Govt they are operating from a new set up the Royal Free and have to still develop the HC Model.
Also the Govt wanted to kick start the process so think CF. was in a good negotiating position to get a better upfront deal.
We may see a similar approach with Pfizer and development of a Pneumococcal HC model.
As far as I recall on checking the Clinical Trial website it is only the MSD work that has been completed.Also Covid has affected the clinical trial programme within pharma which I personally know

One of my thoughts was with Bion Tech so keen on mRNA Cancer Vax and I think US said we should know within 2 years in his response to Andrew Marr could that be a factor in Redmile wanting to push on with SCLP as quickly as possible

Have not got the time to go through every individual contract but I suspect the answer to your question is much more ratted to the fact that several of these contracts have not commenced yet.
Normally with a CRO contract as you say the payment is due on milestones but not usually at the contract signing stage so more often triggered at the FPI stage so would not be in coffers yet.
The Govt contract was different on that OO needed to develop the HC model and the Govt was trying to guarantee the first 3 slots hence paid earlier than normal.
The pipeline is staggering and I think the fact CF mentioned consolidation is very relevant at this time.
There is so much going on and I for one am not worried one iota about no new contracts being announced.
They need to progress the ones they already have and I am totally confident there will be a raft of new contracts but news released in a more timely fashion
PS I think we are very undervalued here on most commonly accepted methods of pharma valuations

Thanks Coldjoe a very nice read and can’t believe after the stick the BoD took when peeps were waiting for the Heads of Terms RNS that they would be sounding so confident now if there was any doubt as to whether this deal will be announced soon.
So not bothered whether news is mid November so possibly tomorrow or soon afterwards allowing SP to build

Yep it was part of his “ consolidation “ strategy at the moment.
So not rush to get new contracts before progressing some of existing ones and when they do get them the price will have increased as there is no where else to go

Plus 3rd facility likely to be Belgium not US or Australia as it will operated by current staff

Absolutely Trader 3 it is incredibly hard work to be upbeat all the time.
Also throw in getting asked the same questions over and over again.That's not a criticism of SH as he does a lot of presentations but having to repeat the strap lines and constantly remind people he wants churn and not a rocketing SP.
He does not want to progress more contracts at the moment until they have progressed the onset hey already have.
He does not want to answer questions about when MHRA will announce Ethical Approval decision as he knows they will do when they are ready.
But as you say Trader if you listen closely you get bits of info.
Like wearables deal more likely to be a series of licensing rather than a one off.
The Immutex deal looking more like a SPAC Nasdaq listing imo and that has changed from 1-2 months ago
