AB I am sure you are correct about the Auctions and UTs being used to reduce the volatility associated with AIM shares.
Although I am of the belief that MMs are often blamed for nefarious activity by PIs who seek to blame someone else or simply don’t understand their true role. I am sure that if required MMs can “ manipulate” these activity’s for eg putting though a small end of day UT for a very high amount above ask simply so they can open it at the following day to maybe panic some people into selling.
However,these tactics are often easily seen and I am sure that most MMs simply want to profit as much as possible.
There are situations like forthcoming placings( not applicable here) or where they want to keep it in range for whatever reason,possible here.
I do find some of the regular large UTs that have been seen here lately are indicative of something happening but whether it is positive or negative I have not got a scooby and suggest anyone ekse trying to accurately predict why it is happening is in the same boat

Good news for all.
Interesting that Robin Shattock Imperial welcomed news and made point about mRNA Approach being applicable in wider oncology context.
This may be more relevant here and shows urgency to need to generate data so that all these weapons can be added to fighting cancer and if course huge new interest in cancer Vax space which can only help here

So we await to see if it is confirmation of the P1 Covid 19 study starting for Codagenix as per the July RNS or is it going to be a HC related aspect.

He has sent out a further tweet highlighting the Codagenix RNS from 28 th July.
They have just completed a successful p1 for their RSV Vax so a strong hint that tomorrow may bring news of the Codagenics Covid 19 Vax HC study

Mark shares I seem to recall when Doc H made a similar nod to the future about 6 weeks ago it was followed by the Govt HC news so I am not saying this guarantees something mega is on its way but there is possible news on several fronts which could come any time and he does have a close connection to CF.

Really not sure why people are expecting imminent major news when as you say the whole pipeline was put in context only 3-4 weeks ago and there was nothing I could see there that would indicate news in any front within weeks.
Of course we can get left field news and the BoD buys recently are a great sign of confidence and to repeat I am very confident from these levels but expect it will take 3 months before we hear anything of note and probably another 6 after that to get a game changer.
None of us can predict the future but to me we should just relax and not build up any levels of expectations in the very near future so we don’t get disappointed if it does not come and get surprise and excited if it does.
Everything is being delayed by Covid so expect it will impinge on SCLP timeline and yes will be great to get news but I really don’t see anyone who says it may not happen for a while as being negative just making an informed judgement based in the evidence available

He used the same expression on the Andrew Marr Show yesterday when describing the mRNA technology and Approach.I have read that the basic design of the Covid Vax by Moderna was turned around in 2 days.
Yes am sure this is exaggerated but with huge potential increase in AI then timelines to bring about new treatments are being drastically reduced hence another reason why Redmilevwant to push on and get wider possible protection of the IP

I did not find anything about Burbles post that was unrealistic and was useful to give an insight into some of the current difficulties of initiating and progressing trials in current Pandemic.
I have no idea who AIM Big is and know that AB has in the past disputed “ any association” and was keen to emphasise this as he wanted to totally distance himself from any historic remarks which were totally offensive and have no place on this or any BB.
This happened before I bought into SCLP so have no personal recollection of these events so am taking everything at face value.
I believe that when AB said Burbles remarks were “ sobering” he meant they were aimed at reality in managing folks expectations in the next 3-4months rather than any change in the medium to longer term prospects here.

Nice posts setting the way forward regarding the timeline.I do feel this is important as it enables a balanced consideration which helps manage people’s expectations and helps avoids SH frustration.
Very positive about future but it will take time and will be great to get some left field news but in meantime happy to wait the real rerate to begin

Why would the Pfizer Vax cause a drop here.It will be a minimal order as a political gesture to Vaccinate a few healthcare staff ASAP.
The longer rollout is much dependent on the Oxford Vax and that is likely to take longer to get Approved so very confident here

PS RR. Aspirin is in fact a wonderful discovery and still has use as you say fir pain relief and at the appropriate dose rate to help thin the blood to prevent cardiac and other issues but there is the risk of gut ulcers plus those associated that you highlight.

Good news about your daughter in law and hope you are managing OK but does sound like you are having a tough time.
Your complaint about being a “ moody git” remind dead me of an old friend who worked for Pfizer.He was a brilliant technical guy but a real dour and feisty Scot who definitely was a nightmare to work with.
Very sadly he contracted liver cancer in his 40s and although he himself said his feistiness helped him in his fight he sadly lost his battle.
Anyway Ruck best of luck with your family and we all want progress here not just for ourselves but for wider society.I am sure that all who work within SCLP want this as well and now have all the resources to finally advance the clinical trials and produce great resukts

Yep I console myself with no news is good news and that the cash deal becomes a much more attractive deal.

Ruck I think that is the issue.As it seems the half dose was due to a manufacturing error rather than as part of trial protocol the FDA will want to know a lot more.
When you are looking at such small numbers in population subsets they are likely to be very conservative.
Again if any of the SAEs were in the half dose part of the trial they will probably want to investigate further.
They will not see that as a Priority as compared to progressing the Pfizer and Moderna Vax imo.
They are a bit like having a tax audit they will leave no stone unturned and that will lead to delays abd possibly a request for more data.

I have not read all the trial differences but was more to highlight the differences between EMA/MHRA and FDA.
Sure the MHRA will give the AZN Vax a positive response but just may take a bit longer than Govt may want.
The FDA is much more likely to resist Govt pressure and takes a harder view of “ discrepancies” and SAEs.
Being such an expedited process means that many of these trials would not have had the full regulatory input and consideration that normally happens in terms of trial protocols so again imo the FDA will take its time plus of course the US is nit so dependent of the Oxford Vax as the U.K. is
