Summit’s development strategy exemplifies good antibiotic stewardship and I will focus on two programmes from our antibiotic pipeline:

• Ridinilazole is a narrow spectrum, new mechanism of action antibiotic for the treatment of C. difficile infection and the reduction of disease recurrence. Ridinilazole’s narrow spectrum of activity is important: it both treats the infection whilst preserving the microbiome from further perturbation and thus reducing recurrences. Summit’s Phase 3 development programme is designed to show ridinilazole has superiority over vancomycin and support its use as a new first line therapy.

• SMT-571 a novel first-in-class oral antibiotic with activity effective against the Gram-negative bacterial pathogen, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the causative agent of the sexually transmitted infection gonorrhoea. SMT-571 has the potential to satisfy the Target Product Profile (TPP), recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Drugs for Neglected Disease initiative (DNDi) for an oral agent to treat multi-drug resistant gonorrhoea.

Also just had reread of SN afadavit.Gives me more confidence that although it is clear FRR did default they do have a pretty strong case and as the judge seems an experienced pragmatic and fair person then I find it hard to believe taking all the circumstances into account his clear advice would be fir some type of settlement as neither part is squeaky clean.
Does not look like a trap for Hope just the realisation that things had come to a head and the advanced decision due to being unable to pay the due amount to fight this case in the courts

Great to see how we have gone past resistance points with ease and without news and these of course be one support levels if any shake.We are in a strong upward trend but also we know the journey without news is never straight forward.
There have been dark days here but a lot of folk will now be in profit now or close to it.

Would not the main case against Hope breaching fiduciary duties be separate as the O/RNS are not directly involved or is the a Judge saying they are all interlinked and he is giving directions tonal partues

Morning yes Aspririn has been a great medicine and brought a lot of commercial success for Bayer and gas good and bad effects.
My orthopaedic surgeon who was a well know Professor recommended low doses daily to prevent coronary issues as it is an anti clotting agent and as TF says thins the blood in the same way as warfarin or heparin.
However as reported the main issue is the way way it works on the COX 1 pathway and is not as selective as the more modern NSAIDS like the Colin’s which are much more COX 2 specific.
The upside of this is the risk of stomach damage and gastric ulcers which obviously is a serious risk to health.
Yes it has been portrayed to have additional properties such as anti cancer but as WF says SCLP approach is much more personalised and in tune with the way forward

Very relaxed here in run up to GC.If it rises in anticipation then fine but if not and I think we will win( just not counting chickens) and then a great opportunity to buy more if it wins as think it will take a little while for folk to digest the news.

What would be your guess buy or sell

The reason I say that is they may well have someone lined up for a post Approval deal but getting Approval can also be a catalyst for a left field approach from an hitherto undeclared party and that would be huge news given it could be a big player and start a bidding war.
We simply don’t know at this stage how this will play out can only look at the clues which I do feel will become much more obvious when they start communicating more regularly post PDUFA date

As Ian says nothing less that a $1bn for an outright sale given patent protection until 2037.
But don’t expect a sale at this stage and moving forward all depends on US Commercialisation pathway and deal which I expect to hear about Shortly after PDUFA date in terms of expected pathway and partner announced by say end if March
