Regarding later start and finish times.
A massive bone of contention for me. But i have mentioned many times, if the later finishes do not suit my life outside of RM, i'll leave.
About 6 weeks ago we were told that we would starting at 7am.
Has it happened yet? NO!
That was a whole 18 minutes later than we start now.
Annualised hours?
As someone has already posted it's just a re-working of the 30 minutes flexing.
So, if this was implemented, all i will do is take a 20 minute meal break in the middle of my duty and 20 minutes at the end.
If you factor in a 1 hour reduction in the working week, i'll actually be finishing earlier!!!!
But i will still be working my time. Is that OK with you, boss?

I read with interest about the "new deal", and some of your opinions. Especially how us posties have been "shafted".
I don't really see it like that, as IDS have retracted some of their initial demands.
And nobody knows what the whole package entails.

I also notice the hysteria that is generated by a 10% share price rise.
Is that what happens when investors (Redceo excepted) are desperate?

The history of lies stems from just after the imposition of the 2% increase. There is no more money.
Since then, money has been miraculously found. So, clearly there was. That's lies!

I'm getting paid for doing my time.
I am not obliged to work over my time, but i cannot leave early. And i can be tasked to do other work within that time, should i finish early.
By your rather clueless post, if i was to be given 3,000 delivery points and i had a 4hr 30 minutes time span to complete, and i didn't, i would be getting paid to fail.
Nothing to do with management of course. Or the unrealistic workload. But purely down to the postie.

No more money after the huge 2% pay increase forced upon us last year. Please read the history of lies from IDS.
The company has been losing a million a day, we are continually being told. Would it not be prudent to "shelve" this bonus.

What bonus contracts? Read below. This doesn't seem to be contractual to me. More a case of we saved money, you can have it. Despite the company being on it's proverbial knees.

Last week IDS couldn't pay the bills. Administration. They couldn't pay the bills. Correct?
This week thay are giving mangers bonuses. So money has been found fromsomewhere within a week. EXTRA MONEY, ANGER!!! Correct?
Not to mention the absolute nonsense that "there is no more money".
That should have read as "THERE'S NO MORE MONEY FOR BLUE COLLAR WORKERS, BUT THE MANAGEMENT CAN HAVE WHAT THEY WANT".

This is what i've seen:

As you are aware, the revisions programme is underway and has been designed to realign our units workload in a fair and balanced way.
This programme will ensure that we have the right number and types of duties in place to meet our customer changing needs and the volumes passing through our network.
You have been identified as a "critical member of the team" responsible for delivering this vitl rev isions programme, which will help make our business more efficient and is crucial for our future success.

WE HAVE DECIDED TO PROVIDE A ONE-OFF DISCRETIONARY ADDITIONAL BONUS in order to recognise the work needed to deliver the revisions, and the challenging landscape during which this will need to be delivered.

THE POTENTIAL BONUS:

Up to 50% of the normal on target STIP amount will be available as an additional and seperate revisions bonus. This does not replace the the existing STIP bonus for the 2022/2023 financial year and is being offered in addition to any STIP amount for 2022/2023 financial year.

Job level 3/4:
Existing STIP (bonus as % of salary) - 40%
Additional revisons bonus % - 20%

Job level 5/6:
Existing STIP (bonus as % of salary) - 35%
Additional revisons bonus % - 17.5%

Job level 7-9:
Existing STIP (bonus as % of salary) - 18%
Additional revisons bonus % - 9%

Middle manager:
Existing STIP (bonus as % of salary) - 10%
Additional revisons bonus % - 5%

Some of these bonuses could have been used to pay the shareholders dividends.
Or am i wrong?
