Thanks for the TPI note. Phase 2 clearly hasn't started, so as we stand, the share price is at the mercy of MMA.

Why pay 2 million dollars? I know it's chicken feed to the big hitters, but why bother if the area is not financially viable? It's not like gold is a thousand dollars an ounce.

The drills have stopped turning. There is no obligation because there is no "new company".

So why are Agnico and Newmont still hanging around?

That may well be the case.
But it would have to be MMA, as opposed to just Agnico, who are causing the grief. I know that they are the experts with this kind of deposit, but they cannot be the only experts in the world.

My only concern is when does phase 2 start?
Surely, somewhere within the original agreement, or since, there has to be a time stipulation.
Otherwise, we could all be here a very long time.

Why would Agnico pull out if this was such a superb opportunity? There would have to be a reason.
Why would Newmont stay in, if Agnico pulled out? Surely they wouldn't?
If this deposit is so bad that "care and maintenance" is now in place, why would MMA have agreed to the the next stage of development? And the payment of 2 million to OMI. And of course the 20 million investment over the next four years. Some already used.
Surely it would be easier for the 2 majors to just hand over everything to OMI, if it was that bad?
Unless i'm mistaken, nothing has been signed and no new company or agreement is in place.
So why don't MMA just walk?
More questions than answers. But, until 2 of the biggest gold miners in the world walk away, there will still be a massive chance of making a lot of money here.
In the meantime, i'll be saving my pennies, to further invest.
And if it goes wrong? That's life.

But, why would he not take his salary to fund his investment?
God knows how much longer we have to wait for news, and how much longer he will pull his salary.
When in profit, he can then sell his holding at a huge loss, but fully funded by his salary.

This will be a resounding yes.
In over 30 years at RM, anything that has been recommended as a yes vote, has gone through.
I have voted no to every deal on the table, as it has always been "with strings attached".
I will vote no again, as the proposed later start times may impact my life outside RM.
If they do, i'll leave.

But why would any of the workforce (sharesave scheme excepted) buy more shares?
The majority have no faith in the management, going forward.
They cannot understand the later start times ( 18 minutes in my office), and how this would be beneficial to the company or customers.
