Just had a look at DNO - young, highly qualified BoD under the Dynamic and charismatic Bijan - who has stilfully steered them into enviable niche acreages in North SEA Norway.

We’ll be alongside them in the Oslo stock market soon. A wise place to be for small energy companies - as obscenely rich Norway is awash with discretionary cash looking for opportunities.

Go on DNO - you already dabble in Kurdistan and know the ropes.

We are an obvious Lame Duck just begging to be incorporated into your blossoming portfolio.

Maybe someone somewhere can take us out of our doldrum existence too ??

Need to take my socks off to calc this….. but 35mil shares stagnating in treasury at a circa buyback cost of £10 a throw = £350 mil

Divide that by the BoD’s declared bb target of £1000 mil -> about 1/3 ….. QED ?

(Maybe they are intent on holding the £1billion shares in buyback limbo to bail out Auntie in paying off The Donald ?).

Comforting that we currently have 35million shares safely tucked away ‘in treasury’, innit ?

That amounts to around a self-inflicted £350million of our earnings tied up in fresh air…..and we are only 1/3 of the way to the threatened £1,000million (that’s a cool £BILLION) our BoD are intent on inflicting on us.

Would be understandable if they cancelled these ‘sleepers’ and caused a proportional increase in each of the shares we are holding.

All these confirmed aero sales and the go-ahead for first mini-nukes…..and predictably - our SP gets lacerated for showing signs of success.

Into both, but concluded that I can be Surer of SHELL (compare and contrast our BoD incumbents - with the coherent, dynamic, highly qualified team over at SHELL - and you’ll understand exactly why they are deservedly succeeding).

None of the embarassingly destructive turmoil at the very top - which has unfortunately been a hallmark of BP over the past 10yrs, no naive involvement with Pootin’s puppet Rosnyeft (which even I feared was destined to be a strategic suicide sooner or later).

Can only hope they take us out for a fair price soon, and save the day.

We seem to never get a break: low oil prices, no payments until Xmas (?), doubts over how the contracts revisions will persecute us ..….

30.6 million shares basking in treasury means diddly squat to our SP……. Until they are CANCELLED.

How difficult is it to understand simple arithmetic ?

Discoveries - Surely that’s sufficient justification for the BoD to start self congratulating with free handouts from their ‘Treasury Chest’ of our stagnant shares ?

So this farce to blow £1 Billion of our discretionary capital on eating ourselves continues……

As usual, it produces zero measurable benefit in our SP - but it denies us the chance to invest that capital tied up in limbo shares to invest productively in ourselves to eg: turbocharge R&D, acquire competitors, modernisering equipment and facilities, penetrate new markets……. a plethora of opportunities being missed and lost - in this headlong campaign to build up a dead and dormant stock of our own shares «in treasury».

Excuses for this BoD strategy range from «to stave off hostile bids» to «as a warchest to reward ourselves»……

Can anyone else read this policy of strategic lunacy - as anything else but lost opportunities to invest ourselves in ourselves ?

Pootin will play Trump yet again to prolong his limiting existence.

He can’t stop his war or hé will be taken out by his own people (or hauled out to face an International Court for crimes against humanity) ….. lend him a sharp sword please someone/anyone.

Time again - after our most recent tumbledown.

Be warned BoD ……We are only here for the dividends - as no other justification for holding on exists - so stop stock piling buybacks ( to reward each other for phantome stellar achievements), and delete those dead shares currently lurking, uncancelled in ‘Your «Treasury») and at least be seen to be acting in the better interest of us shareholders please.

Meanwhile you get no further contributions from me - I divert into Rare Earth Elements to seek multi-bagger gains - and have some dynamic fun playing around there.
