Maybe “If” would be a better fit…..?

I have problems in believing any statements made by either side in anything related or concerning events around monies or Iraq’s gift of oil and gas.

The only certain method to secure anything reliable for a short period - is to lubricate all and any in positions of power or influence - with a liberal and regular donation to their offshore tax evaiding accounts ….then we’ll maybe get some transitory agreements and credible action (until some of them feel that others are getting a bigger slice of the slush….. then it all begins again).

Sounds fishy (as usual)…. Bet Turkey will impose a crippling tarrif on any bbls of the IOC oil passing through their pipes.

Warlords in Erbil get their private share of 4 bbls in Caggins example, and the indigenous Kurdistani population get their salaries paid via 11 (?) % of the Iraqi National budget. Which contract are we working under ?

Where do we get our outstanding debts settled via ?? (Maybe the warlords will pay it out of their share since they probably trousered our missing payments originally) ?

Or perhaps we get that by selling our own oil via SOMO (so we pay for their debt our ourselves). Ingenious.

Am sure there will be further scope for birthright pilferring from our share - working on it, just haven’t sussed it yet ……

Confusion reigns - Er….we don’t ’own’ any of the oil we produce (and hand over to Erbil) do we ?

Looks great then….so just our contracts to be agreed and recognized Internationally, our debts (plus compounded overdue interest) to be met, Turkey to pay it’s overdue fine to Baghdad (re ICA Paris decision, plus compounded interest - or I have a nasty feeling that we IOC’s working in Kurdistan will somehow be stuck for payment of it’s overdue fine), and a fair and equable price per bbl to set in our contractual stone…… and we’re off and running ;)

When I read through the years of inventive excuses cooked up by the rulers in Erbil to avoid loosing their access to the dripping roast of tankering their product Eastwards …. it stands out just how clever these obscenely wealthy rulers are.

I have a dream they one day - all our oil gets safely tucked under the control of SOMO, and contracts are held within International Law.

Don’t tell The Donald about the blatant sanction bustin’ flow of Kurd oil over to Iran……hé already has Netunyahoo, and his big mate Putin making him out like a blustering fool on The World Stage (and screwing up his chances of The Nobel Peace Prize to boot).

He’s a clairvoyant realist - I suspect.

Really none of our business to be informed……. we just finance the show, and are expected to turn the other cheek when payments get defaulted and nobody bothers to impose penalties on our overlords.

Erbil won’t agree to a post-mortem on the missing IOC payments saga - if there is any chance of the perpetraitors having to undergo an indepth investigation as to where and in whose pockets our missing payments ended up ….. and even worse - they are forced to make up the discrepencies from their own wealths.

Deals will have to be made at a personal/tribal level, before this cluster of flux is resolved - via a tribal face-saving, multilateral, behind closed tent flap talks.
