Oh - and Erbil are liable for using the pipeline for the illegal export of it’s country’s National resources - in the knowledge that Baghdad had repeatedly warned both parties to stop breaking the country’s sovereign Laws or their share of the budget would cease.

All this could have been so easily avoided if traditionally expected brown envelopes from the proceeds had been equably distributed in Ankara and Baghdad by those reaping billions in Erbil.

Just noticed a worrying change in today’s buy backs RNS:

« Rolls-Royce intends to hold all of the purchased Ordinary Shares in treasury»

Why?

These shares have no voting rights while held ‘in treasury’ - but our funds have been spent to buy them back and therefore should have been cancelled immediately as previously - they are now in limbo and can be reactivated as eg bonus shares to whoever the Board decide.

BP’s clever BoD have managed to buy back and tuck away over £2 billion of the BP ordinary shares in their ‘treasury’ rather than immediately deleting them to benefit the shareholders by reducing the number in circulation.

Wonder whom the BP BoD intends to assign these bonus shares to …..?

….. why don’t they just keep it within the KRG’s dept. of corrupt finances - and use it to directly pay the salaries of the KRG’s (mysterious) govt. employees they keep arguing about ?
