Precisely. New and existing institutional and other investors will not pay a fraction of a penny more than they want to. It's got nothing to do with the closing price on 24 March 2022 - it's got to do with what they think that they can get away with.

If 3.73 million smart meters have been installed across India as of January 2022 and Cyan are responsible for 700,000 of them, that equates to 18% of the total (pretty close to the 15% of the market being projected by Arden/Hardman(?)).

You know that I like my VCTs for a long-term income play. Well, the value of my Amati AIM VCT has been knocked for six so far in 2022 but in today's February update there was a little mention for Solid State (one of its holdings).

It says:-

"Positive contributors at the upper end of the portfolio included electronic components manufacturer Solid State."

I appreciate that it's brief but it's better than nothing.

I agree - I was only saying that it's a shame that they included that final bit.

As the government's suspension of smart meter bids is supposed to end in less than a week (15/03/2022 apparently), it's upwards and onwards from here. Hoping for some positive new contract news towards the end of 2022, early 2023 but who knows.

It's a shame that Megabuyte's comment ended with:-

I know that we all knew that anyway but.....
