I'm working from dim and distant memory here but in terms of Tullows interest, Kanuku is surely now the licence likely to be abandoned, as none of the drills have been commercial.
Orinduik has shown sizeable quantities of oil, simply what has caused Tertiary to degrade to extent it has and will this be evident in Cretaceous which is deeper and less exposed to air and therefore degradation.
Think Eco states they believe different source kitchen for Cretaceous and that is maybe a harder sell for me - so my question is more if oil is deeper, what is the difference in quality with regard to heavy/light/sour/sweet

I'd be interested to see the link to those pieces? If there is a light, sweet discovery then it is a game changer clearly. They probably aren't interested in fighting Tullow to act as have other E&P fish to fry that are less hassle.

Could be multiples reasons with love up being a convenient headline. JHI drills not yet worked, we still retain useful exposure. With our own drills on the horizon, handing over 127m shares may look very expensive in 2-3 months time if successful . Depending on timing of JHI activity, quite possible deals can be done further out but mechanism likely to be starkly different based on our drill outcomes.

Depends what you're drilling and what per percentage you are on the hook for. Drilling deep water in Namibia will be more expensive than drilling Guyana. Drilling the Tertiary well was c.$40m when Cretaceous would have been another $30m to further. Will never understand why they didn't but $10m for 15% of Cretaceous should be sufficient.
The cash position is reasonable for now and a discovery will take care of any raising required subsequently.

Having the funds in place for drilling across their main licences is now key and to achieve that is no small feat despite the dilution. They are now drilling for prospects that go from probably 25m barrels net to Eco to hundreds of millions of barrels net to Eco.
Versus the current MCAP any one of these is a game changer.
The elevated price of oil and likelihood of extended absence of Urals heavy crude from the Western marker even puts Joe and Jethro in a new light. The best solution is to find light sweet oil close by such that it can be mixed at source but elevated prices can make otherwise uneconomic fields profitable.
Interesting times ahead and 5 or 6 months to drilling. This should easily run up from here.

Not really about late Friday TR-1s more about the key timelines, Asthma presentation revised Blautix findings, Testing on Carcinoma treatment and many other potential catalysts.
Ideally some institutional weight will be keen to get in prior to these but regardless of whether they do or don't- if any of these show material further success it is great news.

Not so much about where it may finish today itnis more what the news means as it is digested. The potential here is enormous and why Merck are in @110p.
The board can get more comms out and work on presentations but for now news can drive it incrementally. Dare say as results are digested then funds will become more interested.

Apparently not just exiting Russian assets, Vito couldn't sell a Russian Urals contract last night at any price, it went as low as $18 a barrel. Seems if the Urals heavy oil is abandoned, there may in fact be demand for a substitute - still leaves the sulphur problem but potentially starts to make the numbers on Joe and Jethro look healthier.
With everything else happening could be an interesting year for Eco.

Bought in here at multiple of the current price and while unhappy with the drop, it was always a possibility either from drift or testing failure. The testing failure hasn't occurred yet, it still may. However I bought to see the testing results and will hold until clear. Understanding when buying the risk of zero return and total loss is a real one and sizing position accordingly.

Starting to look like action on a few fronts for Eco and any one of them has the potential to change the game. Long dormant/under performing so hopefully will continue showing signs of life.

Hence, could this light the candle on people interest in Providence and make Ryan think again - Ireland does love cosying up to the European elite.

Tullow very clear they are not looking to exit but to farm down. They are a distressed seller and need to make the case Cretaceous will be different from Tertiary.
