I never filter anyone whose opinions threaten the serenity this share brings me but rather instead examine their arguments and if they have merit be prepared to adjust my views accordingly. It's a habit I picked up from observing grown ups. In the case of The Green Fool I've read all his posts going back 6 months when ggp was under 2p and in all my years browsing these boards I have seldom read a poster who has called it so consistently and spectacularly wrong. So I for one welcome his continued posting because in an uncertain world it's reassuring to know that some things will never change.
Global, I appreciate you might want to charge me a fee for sharing your insights but when you're researching and carefully weighing up your investment decisions just how many spins of the coin do you normally give it?
Seriously Pigster, I know it wasn't your intention but I laughed out loud when I read this penetrating pearl of wisdom:
"Every morning without news is one day closer to the day we get news"
Profound just doesn't say it. If you have any other similar insights please, please share them. Please.
I hold just 10,000 GPP shares having taken the plunge with £1k a few weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, tiny, I know and it won't be the first time people have mocked my size but as an sxx survivor I've learnt to be cautious. And besides, if I know blokes some of you will have grossly exaggerated the size of yours. But as all former partners have constantly tried to reassure me - size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it. And if some of the predictions are right, well, I might be able to own this motability scooter one day. Who knows. Living the GGP dream boys. Living the dream.
Like the silent majority who read this BB I can't fail to be impressed and indeed grateful for your adroit contributions and your proactive efforts to argue the merits of NCYT, Van. But unlike Silver who has a big girl's hissy fit the very instant anyone dares to challenge the intoxicating mood of optimism you address dissent with good faith, with good manners, and with facts. Not a bad 1,2,3 combination
And anyone with a genuine confidence in this share - like me - rather than doing a Silver chucking their toys out and filtering those who don’t should welcome the opportunity to have their convictions tested, and tested, and tested again. And you do Van. And for that - not that it will change your life one jot - you have my respect.

Heartbreaking just doesn't quite say it. I bought these ... must be 4 or 5 years ago and sold (thank christ) for a loss when the decimal point was to the right of where it sits today. Can't imagine anyone still holding these having invested in those heady days of 10p+ Lord knows what has happened here in the intervening years. GL with your other investments Sue
........... Panmure had this SELL @ 31p................ !!
Bought these in chunks at 17, 31 and 32 and after today's RNS, sod it I'm cracking open the Vimto baby........ Good Luck All Here!
I'm in both GKP (1k) and Afren (10k) - have been in and out of Afren since the giddy heights of £1.50 plus and got stung when it collapsed.... topped up at 16p and am holding till at least we're back above £1 which I think inevitable sooner or later. Some on iii are calling it a future Tullow which would be stupendous but even a fraction of that would nice............. Happy Hunting !
This stock has responded well despite that article Backscratcher and I'm convinced we're looking at 50p by the end of the April, maybe more..... I'm holding until at least £1 by which time I'll have x4 my investment..... happy to buy more if it falls below 30p............
The amount being mooted by the prospective buyer wasn't even in the ballpark so they were politely shown the door. That shows confidence by the directors in my view.......... I made 85% when these rose on the buyout news and I'm back in again now with a small punt ................
Happy to hold / take profits? I'm in at 42 and it could prove one of my better investments given the current market!
You said you 'doubled' your investment in these when they hit .55 or thereabouts and I was tempted too but held back (damn it) What's your average now and what are the odds of another .55 chance next week?
