124p i recall it was but doesnt matter now, that was before 45p placing and associated dilution, when oils price was $100+, when bomono showed potential and didnt waste $100mil on it, still had kenya and before we farmed out etinde...................so much has changed i think most likely scenario we could be around 40p just before the drills, good result takes us up to 50/55p, we get offered 65-80p tops for whole company and thats on best case scenario IMO

on that note where are helx and durby that said at 90p we were going to 1p.................so instead of a 99% drop it has been a 70%+ rally.............but of course they werent just deramping for derampings sake, i mean yes not a single post of theirs contained any insight or knowledge, but they were airing their honest opinion........ right?

over the past several weeks you kept kindly reminding us every time the SP was "still under 130p" please can you explain why the more recent SP movements have not been reported by yourself in such an altruistic way?

hi chris - yes you are quite right if my memory serves me correctly just under 300mmboe (i think 280?) on a P50 "resources" not reserves basis at Etinde BLVN share 25% so 70mmboe of that 280 not sure what recovery rate we would assign to this asset - i think 30% would be conservative but safe assumptioon? so say 21mmboe recoverable net to BLVN? i dont even know what uplift they are expecting on what they would call a "successful" appraisal - could even quadruple resources to be fair, i need to look up late when back at home ............anyone know?

slip when you say "successful appraisals" what does that mean, 20% uplift in reserves, 30%, 50%, 100%, 200%? is that 100p target based on a time before we farmed our interest down to 25%? i cant see it being that high, would love it, but think thats bit optimistic

yes legache, but they could wait a little longer and take more money and run! - they are numbers men and will know that an appraisal well has a greater chance of success than a greater chance of failure - so they will bet on that accordingly the CEO also pretty much said this in his recent interview plus the drills are fully carried, its like having someone else paying for your horse racing bet for the odds on favourite and then running off before you even have a chance to see if you could have won! i have said numerous times these guys are not oil men, they will sell eventually, but i see no logic selling before the drills unless an offer comes in simply too good to refuse, but no one is willing to do that at the moment as oil price is so volatile and who knows what will happen with shale and what saudi will do - no one will over pay or pay based on "potential" anymore, buyers want cold hard reserve numbers they can price accurately

i doubt it today, still a possibility, just not probable IMO oil is through $68 though, so as long as that holds steady or increases up to drill results - that sale price will only increase i really dont understand why some think COC would sell before drill results. we have a free carry and they are appraisal drills so have a high COS - essentially its an odds on bet that its just upside to reserve numbers, so why base a sale on todays oil price and reserve numbers when they are both likely to increase over the medium to long term the CEO also said that was the strategy in the recent article

it will get over that eventually, the CEO wont be cashing in on those 10,000,000 options unless 45p is hit hopefully we can break above 40p before drill commences and then be pushing on to just under 50p in anticipation of results good results and nice upgrade in reserves we could be seeing sale in excess of 65p.............i dont really want to be waiting another few years until first oil, so a sale (dependent on reserve upgrade) with oil at $75, i see between 60-70p and that wont be a bad outcome considering everything over the last several years

sorry msn that post was meant to be for the list posted at 07.25 which has COC's previous holding before going up to 29.03% so apologies - that 07.25 list looks like morning star data which is notorious for out of date info you could be right that COC have gone a little higher recently - but until RNS comes out we cant know for sure

1msn.............that shareholder info is NOT up to date.............COC have 29.03% - check the 13.03.18 RNS i bet you got that from morning star - their info can be several months out of date i thought you only wanted to stick to "facts" and you didnt even notice or bother to check our owners shareholding was incorrect

1msn - apologies as not having a stab but you do seem to always be speculating (only about the upside i might add) and nothing you said to date has come to fruition most here will be long term holders and likely be under water because of Kevin Harts incompetence, so we want nothing more than a takeover to finally put this long draw out saga to bed and one at a substantial premium to this current SP would be great but now you are posting about hearing something you dont want to post about..........eh?! i think a healthy dose of optimism is OK, but then there is the cryptic nonsense like you have just posted all over these boards and its designed to be so deliberately vague that you can never actually proved wrong and is just a disguise for a bit of baseless ramping lets keep discussing the facts and applying substance and logic to any posts - ambiguous ramping helps no one apart from traders trying to get a temporary uplift to offload shares

hi tombi...........yes of course i am aware its speculation, but if someone uses the term "sold" then thats quite a call no one said you cant speculate, you dont need to get so defensive, and by the same thought process it is fine for some to challenge that speculation with logic of their own msn said discussions have been had on price, any discussions on offers would stop those in the know (certainly COC) being allowed to trade etc.................now if COC knew that they would not be buying as it is categorically illegal.............i think that is sound logic to apply in this situation, would you not agree? also the rise today is great and it is above average (as i admitted before) but the price action today is not enough based on past volume to warrant speculation of a company sale so putting all that together i believe the most probable conclusion is that COC might be buying more (up to 29.9%) and with a decent move due to that and the comments in the article today, BLVN is just getting more noticed than usual cheers

hi msn........i am not saying you are wrong as i simply dont know, but sorry i cant see the logic in it first off COC buying more recently would be illegal if they know a offer is coming or even discussed - this is a fact - it would be illegal and they would be arrested/fined also why would a buyer or a seller give/take control of this company before the appraisal results?

tombi the highest volume in the last 3 years was approx 35 million.................do you not think if an event like a full company sale was known that volume wouldnt exceed that previous high? like i said it is above average, but that volume isnt even close to what it would be if the co was sold so i think logic dictates that it hasnt happened and if it has this price action almost certainly implies that the market doesnt know

sorry 1msn but that is not a prudent comment to make volume is still under 3 million, which is above average, but by no means huge......if the company had been sold you would be looking in excess of 30 mil shares traded i reckon and if it is 56p like you say, why is the price at 33p? any offer would be above 45p (to be taken seriously and due to CEO 10 mil options) so if the company was "sold" then the SP would be ALOT higher plus COC are not going to sell before appraisal drill results are known and a buyer will want to wait for that too

chris i dont think COC want to cross 30% or THEY will have to make an offer which i wouldnt have thought they want to do, they are not oil men, they want a third party to buy their shares off them for high price as possible. so i just personally think buy up to 29.9% stop there and let the drilling commence there is no point COC selling before the appraisals - get etinde numbers proved up and its a free carry - win win, then sell to highest bidder with increased reserve number

sorry highlander you are quite correct - i meant if we got a premium listing then Jon certainly couldnt act like he does
