bang on dodger......mikey was for years telling us the reason the SP is dropping is because the big boys are accumulating and now he is demanding proof when other comes up with the same theory

i cant see any evidence of any big buying or selling by the insti's..........i expect they are waiting to see how the 55kbopd plans play out into next year, if GKP let us down again i guess they will start selling out, if everything goes to plan then why the hell not hold on to shares in this cash cow

but this isnt the same, its like i said, you cant say its sold, we wait 3 years and its still not sold, and say time hasnt proved you wrong.........the fact a sale hasnt materialised in a reasonable amount of time is the proof

like i said there is probably another reason the treasury shares can attract divi's, thats not an empty flat denial, that is common sense as nothing about this shouts out sold, not the divi allocation, not the buyback, not the price action, no whispers, no rumours, not the environment, the politics..........

and as you have agreed the announcement will be "soon", so lets just day if by next jan or feb nothing has been announced then your theory was a good one, but a wrong one

the "GKP is sold" mantra has been repeated for years ad nauseam and it has never materialised

and i dont think it will until the environment changes significantly and we are no where near that point

like i said what is your timescale for this sale to be announced? and i will wager you what ever amount you like GKP isnt going to be sold in the near or not too distant future

i dont see why just because those treasury shares attract the divi means it sold, you have come up with this theory and then found something that may support that and probably looked at nothing else

there is probably another reason for this, one you dont really want to explore....... if GKP had done something wrong by giving divi to those shares then the insti's would have been up in arms, they havent, so it isnt a miscalculation like some have been saying

its simply a case of those shares being allowed to attract a divi

if the alleged "sale" hasnt occurred or been notified to the public lets say in the next 3 - 6 months, will you admit you were wrong?

distressed, that is not quite true - the "value" of GKP is determined by market cap, not purely the nominal SP, so GKP was never 4000 times the value it is now, that would make its past worth about £2 TRILLION...........not sure that is the case, ha!

yeh fair point, but my take is it doesnt really "cost" anything for the MNR to approve an FDP, we all know they are greedy and self-serving, so if any money was to come out of their pockets like with better terms for GKP on the PSC or BIR's then there is logic behind them not giving that to us, but simply a signature on the FDP, should be a formality.........but then again who knows what goes on behind the closed doors of this corrupt entity

again BIRs and FDP are completely different things.........MNR have specifically requested a revised FDP to deal with the gas........what is the logic behind, or benefit, of the MNR not approving the FDP?

****eye i agree with everything you say except the no FDP, and you cant say the same for the FDP as the PSC amendments as they are completely different things...........there has been one submitted and it will be approved in time, there is no logic behind the statement there is no (revised) FDP forthcoming, its been done, it exists, just needs the "thumbs up"
