Personally, I like Brad's understated, matter-of-fact approach. But you're right to say, it doesn't do much for the share price. Gervaise, formerly at GGP, will remain an example for many years to come.

I'm about to sell some GGP tomorrow, on the first day of the new tax year; and have to decide whether to put the proceeds into OMI or Thor. Almost certainly will go for the latter; despite the fact that it's risen, while OMI has fallen.

For these small explorer companies, a joint venture of some kind is the best way to monetise the assets. Presumably, this thought must have passed through the minds of our much esteemed chairman and CEO, as neither of them is entirely stupid.

I hold THR and OMI (in addition to GGP). I think they're good companies, but my track record is abysmal, so it's probably best to do the opposite of whatever I do.

It'll be interesting to see how Thor share price responds to a general market downturn (caused by war in Ukraine). My guess is we'll hold up OK. Thor's profits will not be affected; we don't have any profits.

Presumably also to meet Mark Potter, the chairman, who as far as I can make out is based in London, or at least somewhere in England. Took his degree at Trinity, Cambridge.

Some people may be selling because they expect a general market crash, caused by war in Europe. I'm holding myself, but think it quite possible that (under the pressure of public opinion) NATO will enter the war to support Ukraine.

Dummy sells and dummy buys won't show up. But limit orders are sometimes passed on to market-makers, who then amuse themselves by pushing the price down to trigger stop-losses or buy orders, and then up to trigger profit-taking. Nice work, if you can get it.

If you're doing a dummy sell, the safest thing is to avoid touching the screen at all, and the deal automatically expires after ten seconds.

Yes, it's very odd. Price monitoring by the London stock exchange is done on percentage swings, not on volume; but there has been no significant movement in the share price today.
