There's one on every board. Over at Thor, it's bsg. Whether it's one pessimist adopting multiple identities, or a multiplicity of pessimists, I wouldn't like to say.

It's good to see a rise at last, and on higher volume. We deserve it, for we're all carrying losses (or much reduced profits, which amounts to the same thing).

I wonder if external factors are in play. The recent rise in POW (up 45% yesterday) has reminded everyone that (if one gets the timing right), there's money to be made in this sector.

And then there's the seasonal factor. "Sell in May, and go away, /Buy back on St Leger's Day," which is 10th September this year.

One similarity between POW and GGP (as it then was) is a charismatic CEO; PJ and Gervaise H know how to persuade an audience. That's very important; one needs a resource discovery, and one needs the right PR skills.

It's good to see some familiar names here (Stout and Troajan immediately caught my attention). The first rule of sharetrading, is "every man for himself." But it doesn't work like that in practice; one's very glad to be in company one knows, and wishes to do well.

Yes, it's déjà vu. I've seen it all before, with GGP. And this time, I won't forget to sell, before the 70% fall from the top. Every man learns from his mistakes (with the exception of myself).

I see from the OMI website that Newmont holds 15.5%. Does anyone know what price they bought in at?

29 million shares at the present valuation of 7p each equals £2.03 million (if my maths is right). I suppose this is peanuts to them, and they can afford to write it off. Or maybe not, and they want the share price to rise.

Rotherby's right about this. A share buy-back is not what a company does at this (early) stage of its development.

As for the 1p, none of us know the future. But PJ knows what he is doing, and at some point this tedious bear market in small exploration miners will end. We won't then be rich, but we will at least be more cheerful.

Yes, it's good news. "IP" in the RNS stands for "intellectual property." If we can get some revenue from copper production by 2024 (which is Nicole's target date), that will free us from this tedious cycle of fund raises, which has kept the share price so low (and BSG happy), for so long.

Panther Metals has fallen for the last two days; there has been no rise, and if there had been, it would be horrific only to the shorters.

Perhaps you meant "raise," as in fund raising, by issuing new shares.

I think you're too gloomy on this one. The problem is lack of liquidity (also known as the cost of living crisis), which means that small investors don't have the spare money to take risks on AIM. And it is small investors that decide everything for a company like this (big MJ being an honourable exception).

In my view, PJ knows what he's doing.

The gold price is recovering rather nicely from the low of $1690 ten days ago. Now at $1765.
