This is a bold suggestion indeed. I have mixed feelings about it. Brad's character (as I perceived it to be, judging from the videos) was something that attracted me to the company; and I still believe he is honest. But he doesn't have that restless sense of urgency which Gervaise H had over at GGP, before he resigned twelve months ago; or which Nicole Galloway has at Thor. This may be a matter of age; Brad's about the same age as myself, and one does begin to slow down (so I don't blame him for this).

With regard to a replacement, it should certainly be someone based in South America, and a fluent Spanish speaker. Brad's location in Australia has been a problem, magnified by covid travel restrictions (which may be with us for some time to come).

I defer to those who know more about the company than I do (Bhargav, Dr and others), and who have held shares in it long before I even knew where Colombia was on the map.

This is truly depressing. But on the plus side, at least we've managed to avoid quarrelling among ourselves, unlike those on the GGP board.

Really informative interview. The interviewer, Noel Ong, reminds me of Kim Jong-un, president of North Korea; perhaps he's reconciled himself to capitalism, after all. Nicole's excellent. I note that neither of them mentioned the departure of Billing, or the appointment of Potter, which seem to me as important as any drilling result. But then I'm not a geologist, and therefore tend to concentrate on the human side.

This may be little comfort to you, but the problem is not limited to Thor. All the AIM mining/exploration companies behave like this. GGP declined for nine years before it rose.

I'd much rather have a quiet billboard than a busy one which is filled with quarrels; GGP is running at about 360 a day, but there's a lot of enmity that goes with that.

You're not the only one. I don't blame myself for not catching the top; but how could I have been so stupid as not sell at 30 or 32? And the answer is, doing nothing had worked very well for the previous twelve months; and I made the silly mistake of assuming that the future would be like the past. It wasn't, which is why I'm still getting up at 5 in the morning to go to work (yet it's good for me; wealth brings idleness, which christianity quite rightly regards as one of the seven deadly sins).

I agree with you that the BOD should have done better on the PR front; but not that "there is a concerted effort by bigger powers to get the share price as low as possible." It's just supply and demand, as Sotolo says.

As for calling the bottom, who knows where it will be? If it's an index, the FTSE 100 or the S&P 500, there are signs to look for (e.g. newspaper headlines, saying the end of the world is nigh), but with an individual stock, there's very little evidence to go on. I suppose when everyone posting here gives up hope, that will be the bottom. But some of us are stubborn, and refuse to admit defeat. As General Cambronne said at the battle of Waterloo, "La Garde meurt mais ne se rend pas!" ("The Imperial Guard dies but does not surrender!").

Some of it may be forced selling, i.e. selling to pay the bills, or the rent or the mortgage. I sometimes do this myself, but only on GGP (where I'm still in profit, despite the recent fall). Thor I won't need to sell for many years to come.

Take it easy. An unrealised loss of 50% is nothing on these AIM shares. I put all my capital, £30k, into GGP at 3p (in 2011) and watched it fall to below 0.1p, before it recovered in 2020. All part of life's rough and tumble.

We should be OK here. I have some doubts about the PR skills of Brad, but the asset's good, and that's what matters most.

Happens all the time. It's because there's an algorithm that assumes anything below the mid-price on the spread is a sell, and anything above, a buy. You should be pleased, because it means you got it at a good price (tactically, as well as strategically).

Another way of looking at the problem, is that the declared spread is not the same as the actual spread.
