IMHO the US markets are having very little impact on Darktrace. Investor sentiment and scare stories are. Who is going to buy into a company when they open their papers in the morning to read that the companies product is snake oil? Were there headline newspaper stories about Darktrace renewing a contract with a major airline or winning a major contract with one of Europe's largest media companies? Instead we get repeat after repeat of one analysts highly refutable negative opinions.

Not sure about that. They were quoted in the paper today.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Shadowfall have brought the price down for a client to buy. Win/win for them. Make money of the short and make money of the client.

Disappointing rebound today. I was hoping for more of a bounce today after the US tech sector recovery from the lows yesterday. Suggests that the Darktrace fall yesterday is more attributable to the negative weekend press than general market sentiment.

Should we have a competition as to which Sunday Paper will be chosen to run a negative Darktrace story this weekend. Bonus points for guessing the subject matter.

I knew as soon as I read the Sunday Times story that we were heading down today but the extent of the fall has surprised me. Feels like pure orchestrated market manipulation. Throw enough mud and hope some of it sticks.

Another Monday fall after another Sunday paper story. Wonder what they will come up with this weekend.

A nothing story . Wonder why it has appeared in the Sunday Times today. Think we all know the answer to that.

If Darktrace were spending more on research than rivals then Shadowscum/PH/Telegraph would have raised that as a negative point anyway.

I think we are approaching the point where there are some good quality companies trading at prices which present an excellent long term opportunity. There are still a lot of falling knives who have a fair bit more to drop.

It takes a certain kind of idiot to write that about a tech firm in its growth stage.

If shadow**** were shorting back in October I would guess that a lot of their position has already been closed. They probably used the weekend story and subsequent fall to close off the remainder.

I would never listen to the Motley Fool. Tomorrow they will probably run an article contradicting what they have said today.

I personally think a lot of the ML news is already reflected in the current share price. Nobody forced HP to buy Autonomy. They chose to do so the!selves and had the opportunity to do due diligence. They have nobody to blame except themselves. Obviously I don't expect a US judge to necessarily take that viewpoint.

Renewals like this are exactly the sort of news we are looking for. Debunks the Peel Hunt suggestion that Darktrace customers have been signed up on 3 year contracts and are desperate to leave.

Journalist and reputation. Not often you see those two words used in the same sentence these days.

Romaron. I am not convinced that the Telegraph are as innocent as suggested. They were instrumental in getting the Peel Hunt negative message out last year. Even last week while reporting on the trading update they had to tack a Peel Hunt opinion piece on to the story. There was no requirement for that in the context of what was being reported.

Sheltie. There is a big difference between normal press coverage and what has happened here.
