Thanks for that Easywynns. Genuine question. Why would EY respond to QCM when the report is commissioned and paid for by Darktrace? QCM can't even claim to be shareholders in Darktrace. Surely EY put that letter straight in the bin.

Why?? If you are going to say it doesn't bode well at least explain why you think that is the case.

IMHO share incentives can be a positive for the business and the employees. That's assuming they are used to incentives the whole workforce and not just make the directors rich. If it turns out to be the latter then the current board deserve to be voted out at the next AGM.

A busted flush? I would be interested to hear your logic that has determined that a company posting 36% revenue growth year on year and a 24% increase in the customers base is a busted flush.

Ade. I really don't understand how currency moving in a direction that increases the profit Darktrace makes doesn't bode well.

Got to disagree with Poppy here. The UK market is terrible for tech companies. For a start the UK demands profits today without being able to accept that it often takes tech companies years to turn a profit. For example Tesla and Amazon took years to turn a profit. In the US they were allowed time to develop their businesses which I don't believe would have happened in the UK. Just look at any UK analyst coverage of Darktrace. They invariable say that they won't invest because the company doesn't make a profit. It is an foolish viewpoint and reeks of short termism which is a fundamental problem in the UK market. My guess is that Darktrace floated in the UK as the US was not an option due to the Mike Lynch situation. Any other UK company would be well advised to list in the US. Listing in the UK would most likely result in the company being sold to US hedge fund after the shorters have had their day attacking the company. The fact that tech companies make up less than 2% of the UK market compared to 20% in other countries is telling.

I honestly think Charles could get a job working for the fool. In fact he would be one of their better analysts.

If Darktrace are bought over then I hope Charles tells us where he is reinvesting the proceeds. It would be good to know what shares to avoid.

Swingman, I fear it is too late. The number of UK firm bought over by US hedge funds on the cheap recently is frightening. Until the UK manages to value stocks correctly then it will keep happening. As Toff pointed out there are wider implications for the country as a whole.

Steviewonder77. Taking a short position on a company when you believe they will underperform is one thing. Opening a short position and then spreading lies about the company is a completely different matter.

The LSE is becoming once of the most manipulated and crooked exchanges. It is so easy for scum like Shadow fall to open short positions and then spread downright lies about the companies. Is it any wonder we are seeing UK companies being bought out by US hedge funds on an weekly basis. Open short - make money by spreading lies and driving share price down ,- bid for company partly using money earned from short positions. The FCA are completely useless and stand by and watch it happen.
