Sheltie, Totally agree with you here. Poppy has contradicted herself here. On multiple occasions she said that London was the correct place for Darktrace but now claims the company has been sold due to London not being able to value the company correctly. Her solution is to sell the company on the cheap to a predator. She has sold the shareholders down the river in my opinion.

Poppy and the rest of the board only have themselves to blame for this one. Poppy stated that she was happy to remain on the LSE while the market significantly undervalued the company. She has done shareholders a disservice by taking this stance. She has been negligent in acting in the best interests of shareholders which should be of primary concern to the CEO.

As a long term holder who had no intention of selling I am disappointed in today's news. Darktrace are worth substantially more right now and had the potential to be multiple times higher in years to come. The fact that London can't value tech stocks is proven yet again as another one is sold on the cheap.No wonder the number of IPO's taking place on the LSE is at record lows.

Quite surprised that the share price didn't move more on that news. It is going to helpful to Darktrace when pitching to other US companies.

Bobocaca, I agree that there is no correlation between Darktrace and any US firms. That holds true until there is some negative news from the US in which case it must impact Darktrace. The close to 10% drop off the back of the Palo Alto results yesterday was the perfect example. Where was the rise when US cyber security stocks were going up daily? A bid will eventually come for Darktrace but they will be bought for far less than they are truly worth. There is no denying the manipulation of the Darktrace share price and other

listed companies. I am invested in Darktrace and will continue to hold however my experience of watching the share price being manipulated means it is unlikely I will ever in invest in a UK listed tech firm again. It is obvious when the shorters are active as the same unsubstantiated stories start appearing in the press. Shadowfall who are regulated by the FCA reported a customer churn rate of 25% in a successful attempt todrive the share price down. Clearly that was either untrue or Darktrace are making up their customer numbers. A number of the other allegations from Shadowfall have been proven to be untrue. Why do the FCA take no action? It will continue to happen until they do.

JP Morgan being able to short CAB payments just months after they have sponsored the IPO bringing them to market is a clear sign of a dysfunctional market. A number of UK firms are looking to list abroad rather than in London and it not hard to see why.

Jeff Bezos has sold Amazon shares every year since 2011. Going by logic of some people on this message board that ,ust mean Amazon are in trouble.

AI investor. I am perfectly capable of understand what happens to tech companies who underinvest. You are saying that Darktrace spending is insufficient. I have asked you what evidence you have that the amount they are spending is insufficient. Otherwise you are just making unfounded statements.

You have told me they that they spend less. You still haven't told me how it manifests itself as an issue.

AI investor. What evidence do you have that Darktrace have massive R & D issues?

Listing on the Nasdaq is something the BOD should seriously be considering. There have been too many random 10%+ falls in the share price. The UK doesn't understand tech or growth stocks and the level of manipulation is damaging to investors. I know Poppy has previously dismissed the idea of moving to the Nasdaq but I believe she is doing shareholders a disservice with this viewpoint. There is a reason why other UK companies are spurning the LSE and listing elsewhere.

KCRCR. I wondered the same thing about ofcom. Not sure how easy it would be to prove but it is an obvious attempt to drive the share price down.

The DailyMail have history. They can't talk about Darktrace without bringing up Shadowfall or QCM. The recycle any negative story for weeks and weeks. My guess is that half these stories are paid for by the shorters. An attempt to scare PI's into selling.

Worse than sloppy journalism. Everytime Shadowfall have something so say the DailyMail are desperate to print it. A deliberate attempt to scare people into selling their shares.

AI-Investor. Any further updates on how Darktrace manage to release new products when they don't spend enough money on product development?

Under normal circumstances I doubt Darktrace would have initiated the share buy back. They had to do it to defend against the constant short attacks from the likes of QCM. I hope the share price rockets at some stage and the shortest get burned big style.

AI investor. Darktrace released a new product last week. Guess that it just invented itself and had nothing to do with research.
