Jrlomax, he has support of 65% of shareholders so yes he does have support to block a bid. He had that support even through Apollo's bids.

Desert, I think the chance for a MBO has been and gone. MM seems to be in it for the long haul ... just amazed he doesn't seem to realise he will never be treated fairly.

Even when a company is doing well if the right people concentrate on anything portrayed as even slightly negative it can destroy a companies value.

Kidge, it won't always show the amount you bought at the time you did so I wouldn't say your trade wasn't showing so it didn't happen but sometimes they bunch them together or take one from the other.

The way an IPO works is the reason why MM doesn't want to do it as he will lose control. He prefers selling a % to give the whole a value which will be fair higher than current market cap.

If Nutrition IPO's at £2.5b that means THG has £2.5b cash ... our shares do not increase we don't own Nutrition anymore but we have the cash. Do you understand even slightly how this works ???

WRONG ... it is the same as selling an asset.

If you have a market cap of £1b and you 'sell' an asset for £2.5b it isn't even close to the same as a fundraise !! You have increased the value of the shares by 150% and a fundraise decreases the value of shares.

Wrong. If the sum of the whole is less than the value of the part then it releases that value so shares will be worth more so the complete opposite of dilution.
