What is your opinion if Pdl did a rights issue priced at 6p to raise £80 million at the prevailing market price of 7p
1.Would you take it up
2.Would it be successful in raising the £80 million.

This company overpaid for an asset.
They were wrong about the amount it would produce and wrong on their forecast of the price of the underlying.
For 3yrs only bears have made money and this in the context of a bull market and money never as cheap.
This is a gamble at this price.
When Mr Duffy buys £1 millions worth rather than the derisory token he bought a few months ago I will follow him.
Currently its just too risky for most

Ideally I am looking for max Brexit negativity coinciding with a sell off on the Sp500.If that set up happens then I think BRIG will go below 3 easily perhaps to 2.5 and I will buy looking for 4.4ish
I am patient Wexford,there are a lot of trapped bulls above 4.5 and the market may not let them out too easily.
Point well made John but the fed is unlikely to lose control this time and will flood the system with dollars which should ease the pressure on the eurodollar and please Mr trump.Thats my best guess at this juncture.

Markets dont care,knows QE as required is available and being deployed.
That said I expect a test of 2600/2700 on the s/p 500 before another rally.
BOI behaving like a small cap.A sharp break below the 3euro coinciding with the s/p as hoped for should set up a nice trade here.Thats the set up I am waiting for here.

2000/2003 dot com bust market cycle low 14p
2008/2009 GFC market cycle low 23p
2015/2016 commodity bust market cycle low 54p
2019 Markets close to all time highs s/p low ??? 8p
I am neither a bull or bear and am interested at this price but would not be surprised at 0p.

Div cut/rights issue may be both.I think a lot of uk focused companies are going to kitchen sink results,its easy to blame Brexit etc.
I think it my be vulnerable to a bid if it falls much further, esp if the pound continues to be trashed.
I am just guessing out loud here folks and not in, but watching.

Management would try and raise capital via a rights issue in a blink of an eye to get the bond holders off their back.
The problem for them is that the share price is too low currently.They will do every thing they can to get the share price up.
Those big rocks for the rainy day may well be found !!!
At 8p it is certainly tempting for a trade.I am not invested here.

The bond holders are calling the shots and they want an equity raise(dilutive) as they are nervous about getting their money back.As for brokers I would ignore them and as regard management I would take what they say with a heavy dose of scepticism look at micro focus today !!The bondholders usually get what they want,if they can be satisfied and an equity raise proves not to be required then first stop 20p !!!. I do not have a position here.

I am Irish and live here also.
I am not as sanguine as you about things and believe if the big players thought there was any chance of SF getting into power they would sell Ireland hard and BOI would be slaughtered.They would not hold the sophisticated political nuance that you possess.I hope I am wrong on this.All the best.

I think there is a good trading set up approaching.
But not yet,I am waiting for max fear with hopefully the S/P 500 having a double bottom re Dec.
The game has changed,more QE inevitable.
Actually my biggest fear for BOI as a trade is following an election in Ireland,if Sinn Fein holds the balance of power and forms a coalition with FF,that my friends induces investment fear !!!.Best of luck.

I am not in this and just offered an opinion, I will wait until things settle but it will be worth a buy at some lower price and a floor will be reached.
Buy low,but when it is low I want it lower !!!One would have to have a serious look at 2.50 and access conditions then.
The other thing that concerns me is that S/P 500 is high for my liking ,I think we may well get a draught lower which will take all with it,but who knows.Its all question of probabilities and diversification.Best of luck to all

Technically it is a dog and fundamentally it is hard to see where the growth is going to come if a hard brexit is the order of the day.
Once Brexit and uk (and most likely Irish) elections out of the way it is worth a look 2.5-3 ish .
The sellers are in total control here,no rush to buy, -sentiment driven for now.
2.10 is roughly 7c where I think it bottomed during the GFC, unlikely to reach it in my view.
