This stock is a buy and invest in any potential RI. I am holding a lot of stock with powder at hand should an RI come along to increase my stock holding at a lower SP. All the doomsayers can harp on about 99p etc and told you so this and that but its the long term i am holding out for, hence the name.

Looking like the makings of a good day to start off. Everyone talking about debt but there is no mention of revenue versus last year. Until this is clear it is hard to know whether there will be an RI or to understand the future of the share.

Completely agree Paddyboy1, the RI took place prior to summer 2020 and this time, if it happens, it seems to be positioned for the US opening. I can only see the SP go up over the long run.

Jtan and Fugazi1 still sitting on the fence, if you were clever you would get a few shares and on an RI sell back rights or buy at a lower price. That is unless you have no intention of buying any shares and are just doomsdayers wishing everyone bad luck.

Understood on the RI but isnt it strange that this article references what IAG are "burning" compared to earlier in the year with nothing about the additional revenue they are generating?

An RI would be a great way of getting extra shares for a much lower price, Im 100% in if that happens.

Great conversation, if there was an RI I would buy more stock at a cheaper price and stay in for the long haul. I would put my faith in travel and IAG that in the long term it would come good. I still however do not think that an RI is needed right now and it would be interesting to see the price offered given how low the share price is now.

The only certainty during a pandemic is uncertainty. There are peaks and troughs, losses and gains, risks and rewards. Time is key, be patient. We all need to travel again. Don’t invest what you can’t afford. That’s the difference between investing and gambling.

I’ll let you wait for your 99p… by relying on speculation versus fact.

Fugazi1, why are you saying there will be an RI? Just because Easyjet had one, this makes no sense? It isnt needed at IAG when the company has 10bn in cash reserves? If you have any cashflow facts, let me know. Its all assumption and speculation.

Got that wrong i guess, didn't see Credit Suisse come out with that downgrade.....

If there are bids happening for Easyjet, do you think IAG might buy them? It would give them that low cost option from the UK without having to hold onto Gatwick slots. They could even use the Gatwick slots to fund the acquisition?

Dont get it, Easyjet will be in more debt too by raising funds? IAG also raised funds to be in a stronger position for a recovery, US reopening, restrictions being relaxed etc. They haven't spent all this money yet but have it to call on it if needed.
