AMC up 21%?
wish everyone else felt the same. Imagine if disney started putting their Mandalorian shows on cinema?
I watch this guy - but not sure about some of the stuff he says. Is it true he is a successful trader on etoro?
Well - I AM beating myself up because I was completely new to trading 2 years back, and listened to someone online ! The Irony !!! but we all learn the hard way...
To be honest I have really considered CINE a lost cause now, so I don't get too upset about the continued dips...
I was interested about what my banker said tho.
Also - disclaimer - my shares were bought through HL... and the private banking guys in Investec do not have anything to do with trading .
Allkap - i do not know.
LTHamigo - good healthy suspicion, keep it up. I wish I had your attitude 2 years ago.
I feel very tempted to "average down" right now. But as I have called CINE wrong at EVERY turn, please do not follow my moves.
Guys, most of you know me here - been here for a while. I am a complete novice at trading and have only basic knowledge. I am a medical doctor by trade, and I bank with a private bank called Investec. My avg on CINE is likely currently 35p. So in summary - ive had it all wrong from the start.
I spoke to my advisor at Investec today about selling cine. He told me an interesting rumor running around the "shop floor". He INSISTS he has NO actual knowledge, and that this is a rumor/coffee room talk. So take it as you will.
The story goes - Cine is not selling to anyone, but is prepping to list Regal on the US stock exchange - there is even a number - he says 1.6 USD a share and about 1.3 billion shares to be issued. They expect to still not be in profit for 2023. They use the money to pay off some debt, and have a float to keep them alive until 2024. This of course means a huge dilution for us - because in essence we no longer own Regal.
But we ARE left with ROW CINE which now has reduced liabilities, and a cash float to keep them alive until 2024.
Is this even possible? what sort of SP could we expect if true? Also - does this strategy mean Mooky keeps his shares?
You really think something is going to happen by Friday ? With so many outstanding agreements?
Pretty sure we will be having the same arguments Friday that we’ve been having since September.
there is only so much mooky can do though, he may not have much choice in the matter anymore. I do not buy into any idea of a "special deal" for mooky - he will go down with the rest of us...
Elvis you sure of that calculation?
Jen - no news yet. Be careful, high risk time. Don’t invest more than you can afford to lose.
HNS - if I remeber right you think 800m BO(domestic) per month right?
ALLkap - exactly my worry.... not sure where this ends for CINE. Is it possible that their restructuring can make this hyper-efficient? reduce costs to a point where debt is managed until the BO fully returns?
I’m still not sure how we exit ch11, while still making a loss and no real chance of changing this in the next 6 months at least.
Fun - Im sorry you made a loss. Like a few of us, we are still holding on. But make no mistake, things are defo getting better , and 2023 will be a better year by 20-30%. the question remains on how much current shareholders will be diluted. It may indeed be complete. but cinema is recovering well and good.
why is THIS the week? we still have the whole of january? did i miss something?
wish i had the balls to try avg down, but i dont... put too much in CINE already.
So they are trying to sell Regal ?
