I’ve watched the guy, and I think people are quoting him out of context , or perhaps just hearing what they want to hear.
He is obviously invested in CINE for the long term, and his view is that there will be a dilution. He has also said numerous times that there is a high likelihood that current shareholders will lose everything.
With regards to paying off debt - this is was definitely taken out of context - he is simply saying that cinema does indeed generate large cash flows and that if new creditors can be found, debt can be replaced / renegotiated. Cine reached a red line last year though - and couldn’t get new credit with the 1b fine that may or may not need repayment to CP.
A lot of his optimism comes from the possibility of us keeping some equity in whatever emerges from ch11. If the dilution is not huge, the current share price holds significant upside.
No one knows how this will turn out , but I personally find his views interesting and balanced !
No one is sure on that figure - just a guess… I actually think it’s 750m myself…
Hex have you watched it?
Was really interesting actually
agreed
More incentive for content… more movies for cinema… hope we last until this comes to turn
True, and certainly 2023 looks a better year for films…
I think the current sp is a balance of probability where on one hand it’s a total wipeout, and on the other current share holders have a piece of the new pie .
Hi Hex! I guess we will see ! I’m just so tired of waiting… I do hope there is some news this week or next…
It’s either 0 or 30-40p… I’m not sure there will be any middle ground
No one knows .
IMO people who had the balls to invest this week will be the winners of the year.
Not sure he has a choice anymore
That is sick
…
Hope we get some news this week…
Ended up at 5.12 actually
