Yup - I was also shocked. Then I thought , can’t get worse than this. And here we are. Honestly, I have called this share wrong every time. I’m pretty sure if I sold tomorrow, cine would immediately announce that they are exiting ch11 and that cp has backed down.
If we’re not diluted I’ll get on my knees and thank God. A Christmas miracle. Gla
Metom - if the dilution solves the debt issue and results in only a 75% loss, I’d personally be thrilled. That would give us a sp of about 50.
we've been through it all moneyboy... ride or die now.
MAidit - he says that's ONLY if there no dilution AND CINE shows they can make a profit when exiting ch11. He doesnt think thats going to happen - he has said a few times the most LIKEY outcome is a large dilution. I also want CINE to succeed, but dont get carried away, we are still in huge risk here.
Cinema has a long road to recovery . Maybe years. But cinema is a proven business. Certainly appetites has changed since COVID. Hollywood is adjusting to this.
We just need to hope that CINE can hold on for a bit longer to be around when that recovery happens.
Hexam - I for one appreciate your input, please keep it up.
Ok I’ve figured it out….
If you play the X-files theme music in the background, and then read this thread from the beginning, it makes total sense.
Cruis where is bonkers?
I’m HOPING : that a combination of a moderate dilution , sale of assets, and using ch11 advantageously , that CINE can come out of this with a slimmed down but profitable business ….
Oh and if Cineplex May kindly F**K off that would be lovely too.
Total trash article - actually NO where does VUE say anything about buying Cineworld. More smoke and mirrors .
Maidit - he said none of those things. He’s very clear on the risks, just spoke of possibilities. Stop being dramatic.

I’ve given up on trying to predict this outcome. I’ve got it wrong at every turn. I’m just holding now. Ride or die.
LTHcine - its not my calculation - watch the videos of this guy:

als- read this - https://celluloidjunkie.com/2022/10/07/cineworld-on-its-road-to-recovery-part-3/
its a pretty realistic appraisal.
4.8 is the balance point where it considers the possibility that this share is worthless , vs the possibility it May recover.currently the market thinks the probability of this share being worthless is about 90%.
Too many possibilities to even guess here. I think we will know by march 2023 though…so at least the long wait is over. Either a big party or a big cry.
I hope Disney takes notice of this. Streaming loses huge amounts due to piracy. Imagine if Disney made the next mandolorian release on cinema - two episodes at a time, a week before it streams. Star Wars fans would pay for that. They are pretty obsessed. Same with the Witcher.
