Good Morning --- I see your reason for 240 p ---- would be a good level to get in but i don't think it'll see lower than 250 p ,if that !! JMVHO Did i see you on ITV bb a while ago ---are you still in there ? GL.

GS --i'm being "ganged up on " over on the SBRY bb (lol) -----your old mucker LIberalman not only thinks my posts are garbage , but know thinks i've got a couple of screws missing !! Another old Aviva poster , Coaster has come to his aid and suggests it's ME lowering the tone of the BB !! Goodness me , you'll have to invite them to this peaceful and tranquil cave for a soothing glass of "meditation " and "tranquility " (lol) ---- GL with your trades --have checked out those shares you mentioned ---one or two with possibilities !!

That's an admirable way of investing --if it suits you ---but it is not the most effective and efficient way of investing or trading !! You don't have to short shares if that seems "wrong" to you ---but by understanding when a share is "ovebought" or for that matter "oversold " then you can time your buy-in and sell-out more efficiently !! Nothing in investing is set in stone or gauranteed and no-one gets it right all the time , we all know that -- But a more rounded knowledge which takes in the Financial Analysis and the Technical Analysis will pay of better !! I'm afraid people like the poster that thinks i've got a couple of screws loose simply do not want to or simply refuse to accept that res. and supp. levels and downtrends etc do not exist --and they clearly do !! Everyone is a novice when starting out but you do not have to remain a novice ----use the tools at your disposal like brokers and analysts and MM's do --don't be their "slave" ---it'll make you more money if you can understand what it's all about I wish you GL in your investing/trading -----

Good Evening both -------just popped into the cave to take a few deep breathes of tranquil soothing air !! A falling Ftse100 and a stubborn long-term resistance level still holding this one back !! ---a negative buy/sell ratio has to be improved on , to see a continuation !! Todays closing sp is right on the line !! ------ GLA.

Like to see Ftse100 close today back above the 6800 level !! ---fingers crossed !! --------------

Holding up remarkably strongly given the drop in the Ftse100 ---have decided to close my short posn. today at 531p for a 14.5 point gain ---technically , just coming back from overbought and back below top bollinger -----still some way above ema 's tho' ---so giving it the benefit of the doubt !!---analyst / broker recomms . in the main are very positive !! Not bought back in as yet tho' ---GLA.

Market showing what can only be described as an incredulous performance once again today -----to pass thru' 10800 today is absolutely amazing !!!!! ------

Short @ 228 p for a 10 point gain ---thought long and hard and will probably drop further ( i do see back as far as 220p on the cards !!) ---but a quick early week profit is not to sniffed at in todays climate - -- it has all the makings of a very "tradeable share" , so will be back in soon , one direction or another !! My Gold shorts off 1300/1305 again are racking up the pts/pounds !! ---- GLA.

Well, everything doing remarkably well this morning ---all things considered !! The recovery on the Dow and Dax and even the Ftse100 has ,i have to say, surprised me a little !! ----but glad of it as i'm well up on my longs ( even taking the Ftse100 hedge short into consideration ) --- Aviva came back wellin early trade ( damn ) but my Tesco shorts are well in the money now !! ---swings and roundabouts again ----still a lot of uncertainty about tho' yet---- GLA.

GS --- that's being a bit gloomy , even for just a guess !! I'm long the Dow tonight from 17500 and long the Dax from 10500 ( up a bit already ) But, just to be on the safe side i'm short the Ftse100 as a hedge-- will add to that short on the drop ( if it comes) at regular intervals !! Hello Scottn93 !! -------Yes , made a boo-boo and sold out way too early on these !! -----have now been short since 545.5p tho' so making up for it a bit Excellent rise to get as high as it did again --- briefly topped late november's intra-day high then thought better of it this time around --closing at below 540p .--- Technically still rsi overbought and 50/200 ema's are down around 500/510p -- Because of the rapid rise these two ema's have not caught up with the " trend " ---but 9/13/25/ ema's are rising up to and thr'u 50 / 200 ema 's----- This is going to make a call on the pull-back level a bit difficult at the moment !! It's been a "bouncy" one of late in a fairly wide range so perhaps a retrace down to 520p initially ---but wouldn't rule out 500/510p !! --- JMVHO guys-- and to be honest selling out when i did is a little embarrassing !! -----so DYYOR and let me know what you think !! Interesting odds !! ---MRW is the only one to have already had a 12 month downtrend reversal +confirmation ---but is very unlikely to hit £3.00 before this one and Tesco !! -----hence your 16/1 odds , i suspect !! ---- Eurozone QE euphoria has given the Indicies a "fillip" but not done much for the basket of supermarkets !! ----- Why? ----- Because , as i posted ----Bulls and Bears are locked into a battle now with This one and Tesco !! After all the bad news of the last 12 months it will take a little more than QE in Europe to settle the tussle with those downtrends !! If the Greek vote on sunday ends up with Greece leaving the Eurozone then yet more turmoil will ensue !! But, unless Qatar suddenly launches a bid anytime soon , then i will take the 6/4 second favourite Tesco . And 1/4 favourite in 2015 ( Q4 tho') ---- JMVHO everyone ---GL.

Locking in a few profits today ------probably the wrong course of action , given recent events in Europe and the ensuing euphoria !! --but hey-ho , a good profit is a good profit !! ---- ITV went @ 129 p for a 27p gain --- QPP went again @ 128p for a 24p gain -- BT went @ 429.5p for a 33.5p gain --- Short Tesco now from average 238.5p --- Short Aviva now from 545.5p --- GL.
