When you come to sell them , whatever the sp at the time you will have another commission to pay + the 2.3p loss /share on the sell price ( all that is built in on a spread bet up-front ) -----that will amount to close on another £280-00 or there-abouts for you out of your final profit --making around £450-£500 in total as opposed to my £310-00. What i'm getting at is it's always far cheaper thru' a Spread Betting account or a CFD account --- Are you not interested in a simple straight forward Spread Betting account ?? -- Don't be put off by others saying they are complex accounts and take a lot of understanding !!--they are not --it's only complicating when you want to deviate from the simple straight -forward everyday spread bet !! --honestly Anyway , was just curious that's all ---enough said on subject -- GL.

Just some figures for your perusal :--- With your buying &selling commission added to your stamp duty and added to your sell loss of around 2.3p/share ---you are loking at around £450 in total for 13600 shares . If i buy 13600 shares on a June 15 contract it will cost me around a total of £310 .--a saving of £140-00. -- I only have to have a margin cover in my account , which is a fraction of the £29,000 or so you have to have to buy them thru' HL up-front --i get the dividend as well !!-- Just £140 worth of reasons to have a spread betting account !!! -- Just to say --it's a long time to ex-divi day --could drop a lot more than 11.7p in the mean time and even if they don't drop in the mean time then they will drop 11.7p on ex-divi day !! -- The divi. only becomes relevant if the sp picks up after the ex-divi day -- Just a thought !!- GL.

It was me that posted that level --think it was looser on monday morning ?? ---hasn't gone entirely to plan , -----it really has to get back above and hold onto the 551/552 p level as soon as poss. ---Ftse100 still showing weakness today , so i would'nt rule out further drops on the Ftse100 or Aviva ----i bought into Esure the other day after the results drop , probably got a better chance with that one atm. ----Aviva closed today @ 548.5 p i think after a midday high of 555p , so not looking that good, i'm afraid ---that 539/540 p level may offer some support , but if not then it's looking like next stop 532/533p --i really wouln't like to see 530p give way as it's a long drop from there !!---- I really must take my own advise more (lol) ---had a rising s/l on my 553p buy but removed it , so i lost out on a bit of profit !!-- GL ---keep a close eye on the price action if the Ftse decides to fall some more !! --

Esure were 215.5p to sell at around 13.45pm --would have given you a profit of around £750 or so --i would have closed out then on the daily high after the spike up ---they have fallen back to around 211p to sell atm !!--- just a personal thought /view not a criticism !!---- GL

Apologising ( once is enough -lol) -----well done on Esure ---was going to get some more this morning on any drop but missed the boat --dropped to around 205.3p i think --my s/l was at 200p so was a bit fortunate to be still in !!-- Only got 2000 tho' --you must have about 6500 ?? ----- Everything else doing well for me except Standard Life --they keep rising because of the consolidation due on monday and the particular method they have chosen to pay a 73p /share back to shareholders in return for a reduced divi,. and a 9/11 consol. ( something called B +C consolidation ) may adversely effect my shorts ?? --not sure ---was hoping to be out before then ------big drop likely after !! -- GL.

Yes, a good run-up from sub 200p lows but came up against the downtrend from last years highs ---- Aviva have just recently pulled back ---going upwards again atm -----and Standard Life are flying high against my short posns. !! ----( SL are seriusly overdone now and only a matter of time before the pull-back .they are probably gaining today on the back of Esure's fall !! -- Not wishing to rub salt in your wounds at all but i have picked up a few Esure this morning @ 209.5 p---may get a small bounce as it's dropped quite a bit and is technically approaching short-term oversold .--sub 200p may be seen again if the 209/210p level gives way on a 2 day closing basis ----- GL tho' -----

Yes, we are in broad agreement i think , give or take a couple of pence either way !! -- Brokers are ,in the main, still positive but some doubt still remains with others over the proposed merger/buy-out it seems according to Citywire !!--- Needs the sp to push on up as there is no income much from such a low yield -- I'm giving the thumbs up tho' atm as long as it remains above 551/552 p --out at the moment but keeping a close eye on it !!-- GL.
