These sorts of things can get quite complicating for anyone that hasn't dealt with consolidations etc etc before -----as i understand it , holders are being given a 73p /share cash back and in return there will be a 11/9.2 consolidation --they are calling it a B/C share issue and you will have to vote on option B or C ( dividend or cash back ) ---you really need to ask your Broker for more clarification or google it for more info before deciding --either way you should not loose out which ever option you choose ---just depends on your current tax status as to which option would best suit you !! --hope that helps a little ? ---but you must be sure you fully understand before voting !! --- GL>

To have a price "break-out " now with the recent closing highs and a new uptrend channel may well be confirmed if it can hold above 551/553 p -----it already has had a two day close above 551/553 p so a close above that level on monday should ( all things being equal) signify a new uptrend channel .----- JMVHumble Opinion everyone -------- so fingers crossed for more to come !! I beg to differ slightly on your Analysis !! ------firstly it was showing "overbought" very slightly at the close on thurs. @ 570 p ish ( rsi 70.3 ) --but more importantly the sharp rise had put it way above and out of the top Bollinger ( 563p) ---and because of the sharp spike MACD had not yet turned positive and altho' 13 EMA was still above 26 EMA the sp closed well above these levels ---- That's why i closed out @ thursday's sp and went short @ 572p -----fridays early price action put it further overbought so i doubled up on my short psn. @ 576p --- Closed out @ 564p ------ Trading res 1 is now fridays intraday high @ 579p ---normal res 1 is thursdays closing high @ 572p -- Supp. 1 is now the previous closing high @ 551p ---which coincides nicely with a 50% retracement of recent spike high ---- It may well fall to 551p or below ----who knows , but with bouyant markets and good results and divi coming up soon , then i took a decision to close my short when i did ----may prove to be too early but happy with the gains atm. ------ GL sir.

Decided to close out @ 378.6 p for just a 6.4 pt. gain ( £128-00 ) ----will drop a lot more i've no doubt now !! ---but my SL posn. needs covering with some profits and the markets are still looking strong !! -- GLA.

DFS ipo was a damp squid ------ only got allocated 274 shares and H&L cocked up the account allocation update this morning so it was 8.30 am before anybody knew what they had been allocated !!! -----very poor service these days from H&L !! ---- GLA.

Well a good day on Aviva and not so good on SL. atm !! -- -- doubled up on Aviva short @ 576p this morning and just closed out @ 564 p ( will drop further but happy with that ) for a + £400-00 trade . SL. ,however , showing me about the same loss on paper tho' atm ------patience and more posns. are required . PIC short this morning @ 385 p showing a 5 pt. gain atm ---- All eyes to the US NFP figures at 13.30 pm ---- GLA.

I think i just got lucky with DOM --it has risen to close the day up 3.25 p @ 755 p !!--------still overbought technically , just ---it will probably fall back quite a bit but i think i'll wait for the drop now and go long !! ---it is going to do very well i suspect going forward !! ---- Dax still holding above 11500 ----high as 11530 odd today .I'm short now from 11518 --just one posn ---NFP tomorrow out of the good old US of A !! ---an e-mail today suggests volatility tomorrow may be greater than usual ---if the figures are above expectations , the Dow will fly and Ftse and Dax will go up with it !! ---could see above 7000 on Ftse for the very first time ---Dow has been very "quiet" all week just waiting for tomorrows figures --------Pace is now overbought , so i have a short order in for tomorrows open --looking for 370p perhaps even 365 p --another one that looks a good long bet for the future !! ---- GL both----

What a day so far !! ----Dax flying high and dropping back and flying high again and dropping back again and rising again --has given me about 350 pts. gain so far --- Dom finally dropped and hit my limit @ 738 p ( +8.5 pts. £ 510-00 ) --- AV. long closed @ 563p ( 37pt gain £740-00) --- ITV long closed @ 240p (20p gain £400-00) --- SL . doubled up short posn. @ 436.5p ( av.now 431.5p ) ---down a couple of hundred or so atm.------ GL both ----

Optimus, yes DOM sucked up the ex-divi drop and went on to rise further !!----it will drop , so i'm still in atm ---SL moving the wrong way on me due to AV's good results ( still in AV @ 526p with a little long posn, --so swings and roundabouts again ) --still got a small long posn. in ITV and that's flying as well atm.!! --- GS ;- GREGGS doing very well---- head honcho was on Sky Business news yesterday ---excellent results and growth atm ---but overbought short-term . Problem is the bid/offer spread is wide !! ---FOUR has a huge spread of about 40 p so altho' very overbought , it is just worth the risk !! --pity---- GL both----

Daughter didn't have any wisdom teeth out at the dentist ------said he couldn't do them locally after all and so referred her to the hospital for a consultation ---- dentist for me and my good lady today !! --- A couple of posters on the SB bb have a "swing trade" on the Dax now with tp's of 500 & 1000 pips/points !! --i really do not see it falling much lower than 11000 never mind down to 10700 or 10400 !! we'll see ? -- GL.

Can't sleep again (lol) ------------Optimus :- FOUR has quadrupled from £2-50 to £10.00 in last 3 years --why can't i ever come across these stocks at the right time (lol) ----agreed , overdone after better than expected results ,so probably a pull-back now !!----the problem i have looking at the chart tho' is that it has closed for the last three days above the previous 12 month uptrend channel --- in effect "a break-out " and may now form a new uptrend channel -----it has been overbought to a greater extent in the past , so care is required but i think a pull-back now is more than likely --possibly down to 950p (50% retracement) before a continuation upward ---top Bollinger "popped" and well above all EMA's because of the sharp rise !! ----well worth a small short i think tho' atm -----one to watch for the future most definitely --- GL --both ---

DOM -----doubled up just before the close ------well overbought now !! --who the hell is buying all these pizzas ?? --will hope to at least b/e on the drop tomorrow , altho' the divi will be taken off me i am hoping for a bigger drop than that !! -- Dax showing remarkable strength after dropping to test the 4 hourly trend bottom channel line @ 11235/11240 --- a good short this morning and long this afternoon has netted me over 200 pts. in total ----11400 looks to be the target again ---- I'm going to switch to the Dow and perhaps the Ftse soon -----bigger , mor e predictable price action !! -- GL.
